I reviewed several cat back systems on line. I wanted stainless steel and a nice throaty sound. My mechanic recommended Gibson for overall quality and for best installation. I did this myself and found it to be a perfect fit. It was exactly what I wanted and the phone salesman at Autoanything was fully prepared to answer my questions. Great overall online/phone experience.

It was very difficult trying to get system to line up with hangers and not be touching spare tire under truck. The first pipe is where the problem was because after tightening the flange the pipe was to far toward the center of the truck which made everything from there back not align. I may need to try and adjust it more since it still doesn't line up with the hangers very well. I also replace their cheap clamps with lap joint band clamps. Overall I am very disappointed.

This Gibson exhaust system is so cool. Sound is absolutely what I wanted. Not too loud but throaty. Does not roar at hiway speeds. Installation was EZ -- everything fit perfectly over the asle and came out exactly where the standard exhaust did. Truck seems more responsive and may be getting better gas mileage.

The whole system fit like a glove. Took me about an 1.5 hours to install. The hard part was getting the old system off. This exhaust has a great sound, low rumble and not annoyingly loud. This sysyem is recomended for towing. The dual system is not. Be prepared to make one cut after the muffler. You can probably take the old exhaust off, in one piece, if you have access to an overhead lift. Coupled with a K&N cold air system, don't get the one with aluminum tubing because it retains engine heat and defeats the purpose, I increased my gas mpg by 2+. I also have purchased HyperTech system. Have not installed as yet because I want to get a baseline performance for towing, town, and highway. Then I can play around with the HyperTech tuning. I drive a 2007 Silverado Z71 Crew Cab with a 5.3 engine, auto, and 342 rearend. Talk to the people at AutoAnything, Shane ext.106, was a great help and they WILL beat any on the net. Thanks......Dave
