Had no problem installing the system after remove the old exhaust. Borla came with instructions or pictures but went togetterwell. Happy with purchase and hope to get 10 years or better with this exhaust on my 2001 PT Cruiser.

Fittings for many, not well for individual

My old Stainless Steel duels were collapsing after 130,000 miles of use and abuse. While looking to replace, the reviews and endorsements for the Borla were highest. I can say I don't know why. The only pipe that fit properly in my 2001 PT Cruiser was the first one attaching to the Cat. Once we, myself & a Chrysler Cert Tech, started on the over the axle & across to the opposite side, we were stumped. Only the mount before the axle, before the curves, matched up. The tailpipes did not line up with the back of the car, almost 5 inches out. Thank goodness for a torch, because at this point we had destroyed the old system taking it off and there was no going back. After two hours of torching, bending, cutting and attaching we had a system that almost fit, only banged against the axle & bodywork a little. Now about the sound: I had nice deep tones from my BTG system, now it sounds like a 'ricer'. I will order a different system for the PT to replace this travesty. P.S.: I was later told this design was supposed to fit Neon SRT4, Sebrings, PT GT and normally aspirated, and several other Chrysler products.
