I did a lot of research before I purchased this exhaust system for my Quad Cab. I listened to many, many different sound files on Youtube and other internet sites before I chose Magnaflow. I have to say I am not disappointed in the least. I absolutely LOVE the exhaust note. I have never purchased an aftermarket exhaust system before so I didn't know what to expect. I was looking for good sound, increased gas mileage and better performance. As previously stated, sound is a 10 to me; not too loud and just the right tone. Mileage is yet to be determined, but "Oh My!" on the performance. Ever since I purchased the truck in July I've been a little disappointed with the performance. It now performs the way a V8 should. Last night I went to pass someone who was driving 45 miles an hour in a 50 mile an hour zone (an all too common occurence here in South Jersey) and before I knew it I was hitting 70mph. Yesterday I went to work via the interstate to make sure the engine didn't drone too much at a constant 70mph. I'm pleased to report that it was fine. Bear in mind that it's cold right now so all of the windows are up, but I didn't have to turn the radio up high or notice that the exhaust note was annoying at all. My best advice would be to research different exhaust systems and listen to the sound files through a good speaker system, not the ones that come with your laptop, to find the sound you like. It's important to pick the same brand, model and engine size as you have when doing this. If you don't, you will be disappointed and will have noone to blame but yourself if you don't like the result. Once you've narrowed it down, then do your comparison shopping. I STILL haven't found a better price than what I paid at Autoanything.com and I have been to dozens of sites. I saved nearly $80 over the nearest competitor. Best of all, the price included FREE shipping. I highly, highly recommend Magnaflow exhaust to anyone with a Dodge Dakota. Unleash the power you already have!

I've wanted a Magnaflow performance exhaust system since I bought my Dakota 3 years ago (Sport Quad Cab, 4X4). I finally took the plunge and some buddies of mine offered to install it (being performance car and truck guys with serious skills, whereas I am "just a girl" without the garage experience to do something like this myself). So getting the old exhaust off after 3 years of New England climate to harden all the attachments and rust over everything... that took about 2 hours, a lot of patience, and serious forearm strength. Getting the pristine, stainless steel Magnaflow system aligned, seamlessly attached, and fully secured... took about half an hour, if that. The two guys who installed it and worked on various other truck improvements that day were very impressed with the quality of the Magnaflow system in design and manufacturing (both guys are engineers, too). There's plenty of secure overlap where the pipe sections go together, the welds on the hangers are nicely done, and the material is definitely built to last. As the girl who wanted her truck to sound like a "Big Boy Truck" and drive with a little more bite...I couldn't be happier. It sounds great and it definitely feels like it's driving differently (a bit more power, stronger pull). I've even noticed a slight improvement on fuel economy (at least according to the truck computer). Oh, and the appearance of the Magnaflow system with the stainless steel angle-cut tip... Priceless. It looks really sharp! The only negative I would have is that sometimes it can be a bit loud in the cab--but that was sort of the point, so I'm not complaining. But that is why I say Magnaflow's exhaust system is not for the faint of heart. Not everyone wants that roar in their ears... If you do, you won't be disappointed!

Good stuff. hardest part was taking the old one off. Finished in 1 1/2 hours. Doesn't fit/sit EXACTLY like the stock one, but all the existing brackets work. Sounds nice along with the K&N intake I got from AA a while back. I felt the increase in HP right away. Too expensive though, feel guilty buying it...
