As others have said, install is a bear. A full range of tools comes in handy. Giving yourself some time for penetrating oil to work helps. Took five hours on a lift when needed. Definitely feel the extra HP to the rear wheels starting in second gear.

I purchased a set of BBK Shorty Headers for my 14 V6 Mustang for and incredibly good price. Unfortunately the first set that came in had plenty of rust where the chrome polish was missed. The return process was fairly painless however the second item that was shipped still had some surface rust. I didn't want to bother with another return process so I installed the headers. The install was a complete PITA but in the end it was a definitely an improvement.

Install wasn't horrible. A lift would have made it much easier. Drivers side goes on relatively quickly and the passenger side, well it is much tighter. The chrome was the best, as I could see areas it was really thin. The welding "splash" inside the pipes and flange, well it came out pretty quickly with a dremel and steady hand. The rest of my exhaust is stock and I did like these, slight sound change but not obnoxious and slight change in performance for the better

I installed my Roush axlebacks right before these shorty headers and the sound was a little too raspy. After the headers, the sound deepened quite a bit. The exhaust note is now a very nice growl. I am very satisfied with the results. There are six studs that secure each header. Be aware that the lower three nuts on each side will be difficult to tighten as the aftermarket headers prevent you from using a socket. Even with many short turns of the wrench it took four hours from start to finish

Headers had weld splatter inside and out of tubes. Only 75% of the headers were chromed, they did not dip them long enough. How do you not catch that and send it out thinking that a customer will be OK with it?

While I'm grateful that I didn't spend a lot of money on these headers, I must say that their craftsmanship and quality assurance is lacking. The headers arrived with smudges, scratch marks and rust. The welds on the flange to the primaries were intrusive, albeit still an improvement over stock. The driver side header was significantly easier to install than the passenger side but, I think that is evident upon glancing into the engine bay. Be prepared for a lot of micro turns with your wrench.

I recieved theses headers wrapped ok. But I checked and there was no damage. A little rust on the surface, but that's ok. The finish was good, and the welds were nice and thick and uniform. No dents either in the headers from what I could tell. They make my car sound really good. Way deeper and marginally louder. No more rasp at all. Sounds like an exotic car many people have said.
