Flowmaster 60 Series Delta Flow Mufflers Reviews

A little quiet

Reviewed By Samuel P (Prairie Village, KS) Reviewed for a 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser —11/11/2008 2:05 PM

This is the latest of many Flowmaters I have owned. While the quality was top notch as usual, it was much quieter than any other Flowmaster I have ever had. This is the first 60 series I have owned. I purchased the 60 series since it was going on my daily driver, a 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser, but it was not any louder than the stock muffler. The sound quality is better, but I cannot hear it inside the cab. I am considering replacing it with a 40 series. Glad I had the muffler shop clamp it rather than welding it.

Sounds amazing!!!

Reviewed By John S (MYRTLE BEACH, SC) Reviewed for a 2013 Toyota 4Runner —5/11/2018 12:09 PM

I used a local muffler shop to install this, they did a good job though. My gas mileage has increased a good bit as well had an incremental increase in power and torque, it's hard, really, to gauge these without a dyno. It sounds great, everyone loves it. Most say it "sounds nothing like a 4Runner". My only complaint is the baffle within the muffler as this is a single entrance and exit muffler but the muffle itself has a dual chamber construction inside. Noise will be fixed with insulation.

2016 GMC Sierra

I installed this by removing everything from the stock muffler back. Installed the series 40 exactly where the original muffler was and had exit pipe turn out just in front of the rear tire. Unless you were in the throttle really hard, you couldnt tell if it was a V8 or the V6.
