2002 Chevy Silverado
Exhaust, Mufflers & Tips

Teslas are cool, but some people want a little bark to go along with their bite. Ah, the sweet sound of redline...

2002 Chevy Silverado Exhaust, Mufflers & Tips

There are few things in the car realm more annoying than a bad exhaust. Leaky exhaust systems can hurt performance, fuel economy, throw check engine codes and prevent your car from passing smog. A high-quality performance exhaust can be one of the most rewarding mods you can do to your vehicle. Every time you accelerate, shift or rev the engine you get a visceral impact from the sound and feel of your exhaust cracking and burbling.

A good exhaust setup can also be one of the best style upgrades for your car, whether it’s a side, single or dual exit, a chrome or titanium exhaust tip can make your car stand out. An exhaust system is a relatively expensive mod, that’s why it’s important to do research to find the best exhaust system brands and types to fit your vehicle and your customization goals.

Aftermarket manufacturers spend thousands of hours of prototyping and testing their custom exhaust systems to ensure every piece - from the headers to the muffler – performs to their specifications. Want to know how exhaust systems work or compare a slew of performance exhausts? Check out our exhaust buyers guide for an in-depth comparison.

Not sure which 2002 Chevy Silverado Exhaust, Mufflers & Tips are right for you? We have over 11164 customer reviews, with an average rating of 4.5, to help you find exactly what you're looking for. Here's what some of our customers have said:

"Shipping was very fast, especially since I ordered it 16th of December and had it by the 22nd. Instructions worked well and there were some spare parts just in case that were included. I did have some small fitment issues, but I think that was from my aftermarket cats. Everything is top quality and feels very solid, and best part is it's made in the USA. Not much of a droan when cruising, low throaty idle and barks nice at WOT." —Brian W from Bountiful, UT bought a Flowmaster Exhaust Systems for a 2002 Chevy Silverado.

"I had to remove the manifolds to replace broken header bolts because the bolt heads had snapped off. So I figured if the manifolds had to be removed I might as well replace them. Most of the replacement went ok, and even the broken bolts could be removed from the head with vise grips. The other hardware that attached the EGR system was so rusty I had to use a cut off wheel. All in all everything went ok. I haven't really noticed a big gain in MPG, but it is a 4X4 with a 6.0L. The exhaust has about the same sound." —Grant G from Columbus, OH bought a Gibson Exhaust Performance Header for a 2002 Chevy Silverado.

"got my mbrp turndowntip and its quilty is alsome litlle hard getting it on but with a little pentrate lub it goes on tighten up the nut and your done like the way it looks and dont have to worry about blowing smoke at people or cars" —Mes P from Lizella, GA bought a MBRP Turndown Exhaust Tip for a 2002 Chevy Silverado.

"Installed to replace a bad factory unit, and couldn't be happier. Runs like new again and has a deeper exhaust tone. Not bad to install either. On a four wheel drive you will have to remove the trans. support to get the pipe in, but if you are ordering this then it should not be a problem for you. With a little help it won't take over an hour. Be sure to let the old exhaust cool and use lots of penetrating oil on all the bolts, as well as new gaskets. Great product!" —Mitchell T from Cumby, TX bought a Magnaflow Catalytic Converters - 49 State Legal for a 2002 Chevy Silverado, 1500, 5.3L V8.

"I bought these headers for my 2002 Chevy truck and then had dual exhaust installed I love the headers they sound great and for stainless headers the price was perfect" —Jeff M from Portland, TX bought a JBA Cat4ward Headers for a 2002 Chevy Silverado.

"quality parts that fit as a direct replacement for my stock exhaust manifolds noticed a pick up in low end power, torque, and throttle response." —Tyler S from Oak Run, CA bought a JBA Cat4ward Headers for a 2002 Chevy Silverado.

"The product looks great, was a tight fit with the allgator clamp [2.25"] dia. Clamp takes ups some space as it fits the the inside of exhaust tip. A little pricey, but was the only to fit Subrau 2010 model. The name makes it pricey. Overall looks good." —William B from Covington, WA bought a Borla Oval Rolled Angle-Cut Exhaust Tip for a 2002 Chevy Silverado.

"This is a great exhaust system for the price. The hardest thing is getting the old one off but nothing a saws-all won't take care of quickly. My cousin and I completed everything in less than an hour. I also turned my muffler the opposite way the instructions recommend because it is a good bit louder. The only problem I have was shipping took way longer than I expected. I'm not sure why and couldn't get an answer other than i received it when the website said I would.." —Larry W from Fort Payne, AL bought a MBRP Exhaust Systems for a 2002 Chevy Silverado, Crew cab, 6.6L Duramax.

Flowmaster Exhaust Systems

"Great sound"

It's not to loud, or quite... just right in my opinion. I got the stainless so it will last. Perfect fit, I welded it up no problem with a little help from a friend. Took about 2 hours total after getting tools gathered up. View more reviews...

MBRP Exhaust Systems

Sounds Awesome!

FYI, this fits my 02 Silverado 1500 Extended Cab, even though they don't have an option. I had this on my 2014 Sierra and it sounded incredible, sounds just as good on my 4.8L. You won't find a better sounding exhaust, ESPECIALLY in this price range, amazing stuff. Good job MBRP!!! View more reviews...
