JBA Cat4ward Headers Reviews

Reviewed by Dana H (Lakeland, FL) Reviewed for a 2004 Chevy Silverado — 2007-12-19 04:59:39

Installed the titanium ceramic coated JBA headers on my Silverado last week. High quality product with good fit & finish. Installed in 6 hours with myself and one other semi competant person. Biggest PITA was getting the factory manifolds off. After that the install was fairly easy. Noticed some improvement throughout the rpm range. I wouldn't call it a huge improvement but definately stronger than before. Only previous mod was a Corsa cat-back. Sound didn't incrase much with the headers. Haven't been able to check mileage yet but it seems about the same.

Gibson Exhaust Performance Header Reviews

I had to remove the manifolds to replace broken header bolts because the bolt heads had snapped off. So I figured if the manifolds had to be removed I might as well replace them. Most of the replacement went ok, and even the broken bolts could be removed from the head with vise grips. The other hardware that attached the EGR system was so rusty I had to use a cut off wheel. All in all everything went ok. I haven’t really noticed a big gain in MPG, but it is a 4X4 with a 6.0L. The exhaust has about the same sound.

BBK Performance Exhaust Headers Reviews

Well worth the price, look awesome. Cant really tell much seat of the pants improvement in performance, too early to tell if i have any mpg increase, Sounds a little more roudy especially at idle. Fairly straight forward install. Instructions dont really tell you anything, but I've done this on other vehicles, a couple of the bolts are a serious pain in the xxx to tighten, a racheting open end is a necessity.

Banks TorqueTube Exhaust Headers Reviews

I was kind of hesitant to purchase the banks header because of the price. Once installed, im very happy with my purchase! The header added unbelievable torque and may have gained a few more MPG not to mention, finally got my 5th gear back. Excellent product!!!!

DC Sports Headers Reviews

I added a k&n air intake system and got a 10mpg inrease! But at $2.25 a gallon I wanted better. So I got a DC Sports Header connected to a Flowmaster catback exhaust system (both from auto anything), what a difference in sound! Unfortunatly I haven't had them on long enough to go through a tank of gas But... I can tell allready that I'm going to go past 300-320 miles on ten gallons of gas (I never take my 12.8 gallon tank to the bottom, bad for the car). When I find out how well they do I'll let you know.

Rugged Ridge Jeep Exhaust Headers Reviews

Reviewed by Robert M (Simi Valley, CA) Reviewed for a 2003 Jeep Wrangler — 2010-01-07 15:35:25

I purchase the Rugged Ridge header to replace my Banks Torque Tube which developed a bad unrepairable leak in the junction of 3 tubes and Banks would not replace it as it was purchased through a dealer that went out of business (Banks no more!). The rugged Ridge welds are superior to the old one particularly in the troublesome tube junctions. All tubes and bends are identical to Banks and mounting flange is same thickness. Checking it on a flat table showed that the mounting surface is truer than the Banks as well. Only negative is that the welds are so heavy on the inside of the tubes to the flange that it restricts exhaust flow, negating much of the performance gains of a header versus the original manifold. I ported the openings quite a bit for better flow. Since it is about half the price and better constructed the Rugged Ridge header is a deal.

PaceSetter Exhaust Manifold Catalytic Converters Reviews

I was worried at first about taking this project on as I am not a mechanic. After a bit of online video help I went for it. Just like the ad said it fit my 05 Honda civic great. The lower bracket gave me trouble but something had too or I wouldn't feel right about it. 2 problems, after I ran the Engine the part started smoking. I guess the finish burned off? Now it has a white film over it. My O2 sensor light came on, then off, a few days later on again. hope it's not a bigger issue.
