1995 Ford F 150 Exhaust, Mufflers & Tips

There are few things in the car realm more annoying than a bad exhaust. Leaky exhaust systems can hurt performance, fuel economy, throw check engine codes and prevent your car from passing smog. A high-quality performance exhaust can be one of the most rewarding mods you can do to your vehicle. Every time you accelerate, shift or rev the engine you get a visceral impact from the sound and feel of your exhaust cracking and burbling.

A good exhaust setup can also be one of the best style upgrades for your car, whether it’s a side, single or dual exit, a chrome or titanium exhaust tip can make your car stand out. An exhaust system is a relatively expensive mod, that’s why it’s important to do research to find the best exhaust system brands and types to fit your vehicle and your customization goals.

Aftermarket manufacturers spend thousands of hours of prototyping and testing their custom exhaust systems to ensure every piece - from the headers to the muffler – performs to their specifications. Want to know how exhaust systems work or compare a slew of performance exhausts? Check out our exhaust buyers guide for an in-depth comparison.

"Sounds good. Hangers could've been a little better but they hold after a little bit of modifying. Also, the black tips I got didn't fit the pipes without modifying them too. I'm happy with the outcome and you don't need to be any kind of expert to be able to install it but be prepared to improvise." —Jed H from West Reading, PA bought a Heartthrob Deep Tone Cat-Back Dual Exhaust Kit for a 1995 Ford F-150.

"Gave my truck a deep sound that makes the stock muffler sound obsolete. I noticed more power when I equipped this with my Flowmaster dual exhaust." —Nick S from Hackettstown, NJ bought a Flowmaster 50 Series HD Mufflers for a 1995 Ford F-150.

"the only problem I found was the holes were too far apart, so I had to make changes for fit." —Gary A from Monroe, NC bought a Magnaflow Catalytic Converters - 49 State Legal for a 1995 Ford F-150.

"Although it is a basic installation, a set of instructions would have been helpful as I had an excess exhaust hose that ran into the original exhaust between the resonator and the cat. No idea what to do with that until I emailed a friend about it. After that problem, it pretty much went right together. Nice looking y-pipe and Cat." —Chad O from Saint Cloud, FL bought a Magnaflow Catalytic Converters - 49 State Legal for a 1995 Ford F-150, 5.0L V8.

"I bought these for a stock 1995 F150 XL short bed, standard cab, 5spd manual, 4x4, with A/C. Primary reason for buying these was fitment. many different headers fit a 1995 F150 with auto trans but many state that the do not fit one with a manual. These do fit! My local mechanic installed them ($150) I had a new exhaust installed ($185)at the same time so I dont know if they'll install directly to stock exh. Note-there is only 1/4 inch clearance between the passenger side header and the frame." —John H from London, KY bought a PaceSetter Headers for a 1995 Ford F-150, 5.0L V8.

"This muffler is perfect for anyone that wants to hear their truck sound like what a truck is suppose to sound like. At idle it is hard to tell whether or not it is installed unless you stand next to the tail pipe but once you open the throttle you can hear it roar! It has a very nice deep sound to it so it doesn't sound like you hacked off the muffler or anything. Interior resonance is nice and low so the sound doesn't drain on your ears while driving down the highway. Overall, excellent muffler!!" —Jaxon T from Fpo, AE bought a Flowmaster Super 50 Series SUV Mufflers for a 1995 Ford F-150.

"I am very pleased with my new exhaust system, it went together very well, everything fit together properly. I would buy another Bassani system with our hesitation" —Jerry W from North Haven, ME bought a Bassani Aft-Cat Exhaust System for a 1995 Ford F-150.

"I have to say the system fit together good. Sounds great. The only gripe I have is the rear pipes should have the hanger rods welded to the pipes them selves so you can use the original hangers on the frame. The Y pipe could have used the clamps with the long hanger rods to fit original rubber hangers. Other than that I do like the way the system looks. My truck is a 1995 Ford F150 4X4. Pull down menus would not work to ad this info." —Edward K from Wauconda, IL bought a Heartthrob Deep Tone Cat-Back Dual Exhaust Kit for a 1995 Ford F-150.
