"After reading the other reviews I decided to have these professionally installed. I think it was the correct decision. I noticed the low end torque diffreence right away. So my next investment will be rear control arms." —Robert Z from Williamsburg, VA bought a BBK Performance Exhaust Headers for a 2008 Ford Mustang, 4.6L V8.
"These tips refer to installing ceramic coated heaters in a 2008 V6 Mustang.
1. Hit all the fasteners with liquid-wrench the night before.
2. Make sure you have a 1-1/16" crowfoot wrench to remove the flare nut fitting on the EGR tube.
3. It is not required to remove the stubs that are used on the oem headers ... they can be used. Plus, you may find it difficult to remove them ... I even used the double nut method and was unsuccessful.
4. It is not necessary to remove the "Y" exhaust pipe ... but, you must loosen the clamp where the pipe attaches the rear exhaust pipe. Support the exhaust system with floor stands just beyond the CATS.
5. Make sure to check the fit up on the flare nut fitting on the JBA header to the EGR tube. If your header is ceramic coated you may have to chase the male threads on the JBA header.
6. Be prepared to spend about 12-hours installing these header.
Overall I enjoyed installing the headers, they look great, and I gained about 10-HP." —Manuel P from Wilmington, DE bought a JBA Cat4ward Headers for a 2008 Ford Mustang, 4.0L V6.
"Nice quality finish on this tip. Hard to tell when ordering how to judge the extension (stick out) room that you need. Measured as best I could and it turned out well. A little tough to install because I don't have have a vast array of tools, a socket on a small driver with a wrench on the nut did the trick, small hands would help too as there is not much room around the tailpipe and bumper area. Overall turned out well." —John G from Bear, DE bought a Gibson Slash Exhaust Tip for a 2008 Ford Mustang.

"I had this installed by my mechanic because I dont have the right tools to do it myself, but it definitely gives it a loud sound over 2 1/2 RPMs and a low rumble otherwise. I havent noticed a power boost but it has helped my MPG. Overall a good muffler but make sure you want to hear it ALL the time." —Robert R from San Diego, CA bought a Flowmaster Exhaust Systems for a 2008 Ford Mustang, 4.0L V6.
"Stock mufflers on my GT500 were way too quiet.
It took me no more than 30 minutes from start to finish to install the Gibsons on my new GT500. The fit GREAT and they sound GREAT! Pretty loud at idle, not too loud at cruising speed. They look BAAD (SIC in kid terms)! They are Awesome! The 4" polished stainless tips are the best. Not nearly as expensive as some of the more well known brands. I definitely made the right choice. (The pics at AutoAnything do not actually represent the mufflers well at all though. I went to the GibsonExhaust website first so I knew what I was buying. There I saw what I was buying and read a much better description. I am even thinking about selling the all SS polished Magnaflows I have on my '06 Mustang GT, because they are way too quiet too." —Randall R from San Ramon, CA bought a Gibson Exhaust Systems for a 2008 Ford Mustang, Shelby GT500, 5.4L V8.
"We had this Borla Exhaust System installed on our 2008 Mustang GT. The sound is absolutely awesome! Now the car sounds as bad as it looks! lol Borla is the ONLY way to go and well worth the money!" —Nancy R from Andover, KS bought a Borla Exhaust Systems for a 2008 Ford Mustang, GT, 4.6L V8.
