2008 Gmc Sierra Exhaust, Mufflers & Tips

There are few things in the car realm more annoying than a bad exhaust. Leaky exhaust systems can hurt performance, fuel economy, throw check engine codes and prevent your car from passing smog. A high-quality performance exhaust can be one of the most rewarding mods you can do to your vehicle. Every time you accelerate, shift or rev the engine you get a visceral impact from the sound and feel of your exhaust cracking and burbling.

A good exhaust setup can also be one of the best style upgrades for your car, whether it’s a side, single or dual exit, a chrome or titanium exhaust tip can make your car stand out. An exhaust system is a relatively expensive mod, that’s why it’s important to do research to find the best exhaust system brands and types to fit your vehicle and your customization goals.

Aftermarket manufacturers spend thousands of hours of prototyping and testing their custom exhaust systems to ensure every piece - from the headers to the muffler – performs to their specifications. Want to know how exhaust systems work or compare a slew of performance exhausts? Check out our exhaust buyers guide for an in-depth comparison.

Not sure which 2008 GMC Sierra Exhaust, Mufflers & Tips are right for you? We have over 11164 customer reviews, with an average rating of 4.5, to help you find exactly what you're looking for. Here's what some of our customers have said:

"This exhaust sounds awesome! The 4-cyl mode is barely noticeable at all. Unlike other manufactures I have experienced. Would definitely recommend!!" —Steve T from Garland, TX bought a Corsa Performance Exhaust for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"outstanding very noticable increase in power paired with flowmaster cat back system" —Kenneth L from Erie , PA bought a Gibson Exhaust Performance Header for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"Sound level and tone from the exterior are perfect. Inside I have a bit of a harmonic drone around 1700 -1900 rpm range that is a bit too loud otherwise interior noise levels are about what I expected. This is my 3rd Flowmaster on as many trucks I'm sure it won't be my last." —Gary A from Alden, MI bought a Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow Mufflers for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"outstanding very noticable increase in power paired with flowmaster cat back system" —Kenneth L from Erie , PA bought a Gibson Exhaust Performance Header for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"Use the factory gaskets and go to NAPA and get a steel flange gasket. The paper gaskets will blow. Other than that, love them. Super easy to install." —Daniel A from Helotes, TX bought a PaceSetter Shorty Headers for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"I strongly suggest the purchase of a 1/2" 15mm deep, 6-point and swivel adapter for your extention prior to trying to remove the factory exhaust. It took just 3 hours (could have been two or less with a 6-point). My only complaint about the new is the stuggle to secure the passenger side collector around the cat. Not much change in tone, better responce for passing-mid to high rpm. 8000 miles so far no leaks, no loose bolts, very impressed with direct fit" —Garret B from Nottingham, MD bought a JBA Cat4ward Headers for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"On my 2008 GMC Sierra Denali, these fit perfectly. The improvement in power was immediately noticeable. Better throttle response with faster revving with much more rapid acceleration. I had several other mods already on the truck (CAI, cat-back exhaust, programmer), but this one piece really pulled it all together. I'm not sure if the improvement would have been quite as dramatic without those others in place, but whatever the reason, this single component made a marked improvement. Aesthetically, these are very good looking ceramic-coated headers. They take up considerably less room than the stock headers, especially since they don't need the heat shields. They permit more of the internal engine sounds to escape as well, which adds a nice mechanical aspect to compliment the V8 rumble out the back. Installation will vary depending on the truck, and will probably require a lift." —Brian M from Springdale, AR bought a Doug Thorley Headers for a 2008 GMC Sierra, 1500, 6.0L V8.

"Many other vendors have the same product but have high shipping/handling cost. Will be back to buy again!" —John L from Denham Springs, LA bought a MBRP Dual Wall Straight Exhaust Tip for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"This exhaust sounds awesome! The 4-cyl mode is barely noticeable at all. Unlike other manufactures I have experienced. Would definitely recommend!!" —Steve T from Garland, TX bought a Corsa Performance Exhaust for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"Quality and price of this system can't be beat. Installation was too easy. Even though JBA recommends professional installation, anyone with one brain cell and a basic tool kit can do it. Gas milage improvements are yet to be seen, but power and sound are much improved. Doesn't look too bad either! While I'm at it, AA is the best on price, shipping times, and how can you beat FREE shipping. I'll be looking at headers next." —Sean C from Yuma, AZ bought a JBA Performance Exhaust for a 2008 GMC Sierra.

"A good product with a nice sound. Installation should include torque specs for nuts, not just say "tighten". Take care to make sure all alignment is correct before you tighten as adjustment later is more difficult!" —Robert C from Sudbury, MA bought a Gibson Exhaust Systems for a 2008 GMC Sierra, 1500, extended cab, 6' 6" short bed, 5.3L V8.

Magnaflow Performance Mufflers

Exactly what I was looking for!

The newer GM trucks have a lot going on with the exhaust, keeping them quiet as can be. I wanted to be able to hear the v8 without it being obnoxious, loud or having a drone at highway speeds. The 22" Magnaflow muffler is perfect, gives a nice deep tone and you can't really tell it's on there until you step on it. Very pleased with the purchase! View more reviews...
