AMI Fuel Door Reviews

Exactly what I needed

Reviewed By MATT R (STILLWATER, OK) Reviewed for a 2004 Chevy Silverado —12/3/2014 8:50 AM

I added this to my 2004 Silverado to protect it against pranksters, as this truck will spend quite a bit of time outdoors. I haven't been able to find a locking gas cap that is reliable, so I opted to lock the fuel door, instead. The 30-minute installation was straightforward, and all needed hardware was included. I did have to pick up a torx-style socket to remove bolts from the truck. It's a Chevy thing. The fit was very close, and looks good. The door is tight when locked.

KY Fuel Filter Challenge

Reviewed By Gregory L (BOWLING GREEN, KY) Reviewed for a 1998 Chevy S10 Pickup —4/11/2019 9:40 PM

I have an older truck, 98 S10 4.3 V6 Vortec Engine, which sat in a neighbors driveway for the better part of 7 yrs. Fuel fill ups were few and far between. Imagine the gunk that accumulated during this time. I'm ready for a full on tune up, new plugs, Cap and rotor, and the K&N cold air intake which is already in place. K&N fuel filter also going on.. Having many years of K&N air filters experience, I'm confident in the big job this little filter must perform. Summertime will tell the story!
