I had previously been using a pair of Rhino ramps. The problems were the incline was too steep requiring plywood in front of them to step up the car, concerns of their durability with them being hollow and they slid when pulling up on them. These Race Ramps solved all 3 issues. They don't slide when I pull up on them, they are solid (no worry of collapsing) and the incline is more gradual (no scraping). The only downside is the large price difference between the 2 brands.

The average car weighs around 2 tons, with trucks weighing quite a bit more. And, it’s this incredible heft that warrants safety above all else when purposefully making the wheels leave the ground. By following a few safety guidelines, working on a properly lifted car is relatively safe.
