The second bar arrived in good condition. The first was mangled, bent and bruised. I was disappointed that the bar was not made in the USA but in China it would appear, as the instructions were not at all clear. I like the looks of the bar. My biggest complaint would be that the bar was going to cost me about 1-1/2 inches of road clearance. I got a sawzall and a grinder and cut back as much out of the adapter plates as I could to gain back the clearance. I would recommend it to others.

I bought this for my 16'Forester XT. It fits fine once you figure out the instructions are wrong. They have the Brackets reversed from the way they should mount which is why all these other reviewers are having to go to the hardware store to obtain bolts that will work. The bar is nice and contours well the front of the vehicle. However, seeing skinny brackets sticking out to mount it take away from the aggressive appearance.

The only complaint was that although the holes basically lined up there is enough play that the ridgitity of the bar is reliant on how tight the bolts are snugged down. Also the upper bolts are a bit short for their application. But on the positive side I am NOT a "tool guy" and I did it in my driveway in under an hour, I got what I paid for. Also if appearance is important the bolts should be black to match the bar....but that's what spray paint is for. Happy I bought it

I installed the bull bar a week ago on my 2017 Subaru Forester XT and overall I am pleased with my purchase so far. My main complaint is the hardware provided was not long enough to attach the mounting bracket to the car support. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase about $10 in stainless steel hardware to get it mounted properly.

Wanted something that looked nice and was reasonably functional; very happy that I bought this bar! Made well and looks good. Instructions were lacking but the bar is simple enough to figure out how to mount. Installed myself in 2014 forester, suggest to use threadlock when assembling. I got the all black, also many of the pictures online show a horse logo on the bar. it easily removes.

The kit that came for connecting to my Forester did not have long enough bolts to hold it on. I went to Lowes and paid about $3 for new bolts and washers that worked great. Best way to install is loosely attach brackets to vehicle, then get the bolts into the brackets of the bar. Otherwise it didn't line up well if the vehicle was tightened down.

Looks great on SUV, 2017 Forester. Suggest the hardware be black power coated to match bar. I used black paint to cover the distracting bright chrome nuts and bolts.
