Looks Good--not much protection

There were instructions for how to mount it to my rig. There were NO instructions on how to assemble the guard. It came in 9 pieces plus 4 mounting brackets and many nuts and bolts. The 'wings' that protect?? the headlights are held on with one 3/8 inch bolt on each side, bottom arm and a slip joint on top arm. If you hit anything bigger than a cat it will probably pop the bolt. Unit should have been welded as one piece. Harder to ship, but a MUCH stronger unit.

Ram 2500 Big Horn

I ordered and installed the Chrome version with the headlight brush guards. The kit was missing all the 1/4" fasteners and several 3/8" washers and nuts. My truck has a plastic grill behind the bumper that was not included in the instructions. Important as the grill bolts thru the holes used to mount the upper supports. It took me a couple hours by myself to install not including the trip to the hardware store. Now installed it looks very good and has received many compliments.

Chevy express RV

My big problem is that the Grille Guard does not look exactly like the picture or the installation instruction pictures. The bottom step in the pictures is a tube with a rubber insert STEP. In reality the step (?) is a bar not a tube and no rubber "step" insert. Very disappointed. Installation was harder due to trying to install on the driveway. Much easier if I had had a lift.

that's my truck

I found the instructions a little hard to figure out. Had to go by the pictures more than the words. Also was short 2 of the allen headed bolts, had to use regular hex bolt. On the aligning of the guard around the headlights, the instructions say to align it, you dont have much choice on how it lays out. On one side it sits an inch back farther past the headlight than the other. Looks good through..

Not terrible

Figure about 3-4 hours to install. A lot of pre-assembly of guard, takes an hour or so to prep truck. I assembled the guard and son worked on the truck. Hard to get to tow hooks, have to take off grille. 2015 Chevy 2500. Looks good, pretty solid.

F 250 Go Rhino review

Serious issues with external packaging from manufacturer. First shipment arrived missing parts box nearly unusable. Somewhere along the way it had been taped back together. Auto anything did not hesitate to send a replacement. Replacement arrived in similar condition. Had to buy lock washers to complete installation as some were missing. Problem- the corrugated is way too low a strength for something this heavy. It just can't make it intact. This experience brought the rating to two.

Directions need improved but great product.

This is my 4th Go Rhino Brush Guard. Installation was tough but it was due to the Chevy frame construction. Directions need a little improvement. Overall great product; looks great and price is reasonable.

Needs improved quality in workmanship

The grill guard was relatively easy to assemble & install, but the holes on ones side of the headlight grill did not line up had had to be elongated. The flat head screws that mount the bars to the main supports are not long enough to engage the lock portion of the nuts. Grill guard looks great after it is installed

Best available

This is the second R-3000 I have put on my Expeditions and I am satisfied with both-it is not as heavy duty as my Rancher grille guard for my F350 but it is the best available for an Expedition.

Looks great and seems solid.

I didn't know what to expect. I've never had a grille guard. However, after 3 deer kissed my grill, it was time. The grill assembly and installation, according to my mechanic, was a little more expected. But, wow, looks great and appears substantial. Thanks

Rhino 3000 onto a Ford 2006 Expidtion

Overall a good product at a great price. Shipping notification was a help. The instructions for the upper tuber assy. could have been more detailed. Also the inner upper tube assy had a thick coating of the powder coat that made assy imposable until it was cleaned out with a die grinder and sanding wheel. Other then that it looks great installed and I hope to never test it with deer or other road hazard.

Overall happy

Overall we are happy with the grill guard. It did take 7 weeks to come which I was not impressed with. I was sent two of the same side top brackets and cannot get anyone to answer at Go Rhino to get my correct part.

Great guard -- terrible installation

The guard itself is great and looks good on the Explorer. Ordering was easy and the folks who I talked to on the phone were great. The shipping was good and the box arrived on time with no problems. The install kits was missing both nut plates to bolt the guard to the frame. I made my own or that could have been a big problem. The instructions for installation had to be the worst I have every used for anything. They needed to be much more indepth with better part identification. After several tries, my son and I were able to complete the construction. There were parts with the install kit that were never mentioned and as I said earlier some parts were missing. Even though the guard looks good I would think twice about ordering another Go Rhino product.
