Well, I got it installed but for some reason it interferes with the bezel around the tailgate latch. It is no longer completely flush. I jacked around with it for over an hour. Managed to get is looking a little better but still not completely flush. It does lock and unlock though.

It was very easy to install. I actually found out though that it was cheaper at the Chevy dealer to get it from them. I kept it just in case we need one for some reason. I just didn't like that it wouldn't sit flat so it made my handle not sit flat either.

Let's face it - there isn't an iron-clad method of securing a tailgate from unauthorized entry with actuator inhibitors. They all basically prevent full travel of the latch/un-latch mechanism. However, this is a probably the best overall value-design-appearance solution on the market today. Not a "10" but definitely a leader among the market players. By -the-way, this is my second Pop & Lock in as many trucks without any successful thefts! C.J.C.

I bought the Pop and Lock to reduce the chance of tailgate and bed extender theft. Installation was easy. I had to loosen the two bolts holding the latch a little more than the instructions directed in order to slip the Pop and Lock into place. I left the tailgate locked in the closed position during the installation process.
