The lock fit perfectly on my 2011 Colorado gate, and was very easy to install, especially for a novice such as myself. Feels like I got a great deal in lieu of going somewhere to buy and have a lock installed.

So far, I like the lock. I like being able to secure items in the bed of my truck and I like the fact that being chrome adds something to the looks.

It looked nice in the package and it was nice to lock up the tailgate on vacation. Then the downside, upon installation it barely opened the tailgate with out pulling hard and now the tailgate will not open at all. This product was a waste of good money and it's very disappointing.

As you can probably see by the above title, I got the full handle replacement lock. My old handle was chrome with black trim, but not lockable, so I decided to try this one. Received in 4-5 days, Took less than 15 min to install, that inc ludes removing tailgate liner and cover plate. Looks great, works well. Very satisfied

After using the P&L for about a month, a central rivet became loose with the gate becoming unable to open. I sent an email to autoanything.com with little results. I called Pop & Lock. They offered to send a new lock but suggested I try to bend one piece in the lock, as this problem was not new. Following their directions all works very well. Thanks to Jason.

It broke in just a few days after installing it. The handle is plastic. I couldn't get it opened without a screwdriver after it broke. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Ordered the Chrome lock to match the LT chrome door handles. Install was straight forward. It required a Philips screwdriver, 2 sizes of torx drivers. It took longer to remove the tail gate bed liner than to put the Pop and Lock in. If you can use a screwdriver, you can do this install. Looks great and works as expected. Since a tailgate can be removed without tools in approx. 2 minutes and costs (painted) almost $1000 to replace. Locking it, so it doesn't grow legs and walk :)is sadly necessary
