Another top quality product from AMP Research (I also have their power retractable running boards). Mechanism and cast mounting bracket are nicely powder coated. Supplied fasteners appear to be OEM-quality plated for corrosion resistance. Assembly and installation couldn't be more simple. I had to tweak the truck's lower bumper attachment (one bolt) for clearance when extended, easy. Simple operation, functional and sturdy.

The unit is very well designed and the castings well made. When I purchased the unit I fully expected that I would have some instillation issues as AMP did not make a BedStep for my 13 year old pickup. I took a chance and chose a model as close to mine as possible. As it turned out, the design of the step was inherently so sound that fabricating a mount surface on my bumper bracket was straight forward and the end result was very clean. It is all that I had hoped that it would be.

The AMP Research BedStep was very easy to put together and install on my F-150. The step is sturdy and tight, when extended and standing on it. The design and location of my F-150's bumper mount is much better than my Silverado's, which took me hours to install, due to the location of the bumper mounting bolts and design of the Step (different brand). I had to jack up my bumper to get the holes aligned to fit the over-sized mounting bolts. I would recommend this Step, for it's quality and price.
