XPEL Headlight Protection Reviews

My X-Pel Experience

Reviewed By Gaudioso P (Lafayette, CA) Reviewed for a 2005 Toyota Prius —7/25/2010 8:37 PM

After ordering my X-Pel Headlight Protection covers, it arrived within two weeks (I requested normal delivery). I ordered a set for my 2005 Toyota Prius. The Prius lens is rather large and when I opened the package, the end of the lens covers were crinkled a bit probably because it was stored on end. Because the Prius' lenses are large, it was difficult to position the X-Pel to follow the curved conture. But, with the aid of my wife's hair dryer, I was able to slowly work the X-Pel to the point that it wrapped around the curved part of the lens. It took a couple of tries of smoothing and lifting the X-Pel to shrink it to the lens contour. It does take a little practice. I finally completed the task in about 45 mins. and am very happy with the results. I plan to order another set for my other car.

The quality is not as good as I expected. First of all is made in China. Not a good start. Secondly, the shipped box was made of the same type of material that is shipped by China for most other fragile material based products, which is less than and in most industries considered to be sub-standard materials.
