Tacoma xpel

This product is alright. I would've given the product a 5 star if I had know it didn't cover the whole light. I don't understand why it's not the whole light. What happens over the years when the headlight gets some type of oxidation and you peel off the xpel? Your light would have 2 different shades, but I didn't purchase this product to only cover some. I wanted it to cover the whole lense. For the price and it doesn't cover the whole light? NOT worth It!

First Xpel purchase was in 2007. I was impressed with the product then and the quality appears to continue. It takes time to install this stuff and must plan to complete uninterrupted. I did both vehicles this time ... one did exhibit the white splotches and one vehicle did not. As per instructions this stuff clears out in 24 hrs. Highly recommend for these headlights used today due to their cost .... great product ... few people know about it .

EXPEL THE VERY BEST HEADLIGHT COVERS AVAILABLE

I trade my car every two years and I have had Expel Headlight covers on at least the passed five cars and trucks I have had. I wouldn't do without them. I have never had a chip or any damage whatsoever when protected with the Expel covers. There has never been any discoloration to the headlights either. Definitely the very best anyone will ever purchase.

Easy to install & they look amazing.

I was delighted with the ease of application as well as the amazing look of the XPEL product. It took me less than a half hour & I had no cloudiness issues whatsoever... they were perfect immediately! The trick is to use a heat gun (on low) not a hair dryer. My lenses have compound angles and I simply heated and smoothed it over the curves with a dampened hand like butter! They fit perfectly and are thick & durable. I love them & you will too!

Yup

The clear plastic covers are quite thick but don't affect the appearance or functionality of the headlights. I hope they protect from UV hazing as that's their primary purpose. We'll see how they are holding up after two summers. Installation doesn't seem very difficult but I had a window film/tint guy install it, same thing. Spray, heat gun, smooth out bubbles and done.

2006 Acura RL headlights

Headlights were very convex so probably should have been heated up to make the fit better. The adhesive made the cloudiness go away and they look like new.

Amazing Product

Why XPEL is not standard in new vehicles? It should. In AZ we have lots of rocks on roads. You will get one to your headlight sooner or later. The bill could easily be $ 700...800. And you have two headlights! Don't like those color ones, but crystal clear is almost invisible and even protects from yellowing. Installation is a DIY, just read instructions for easier job.

Wouldn't recommend it

The film does NOT cover the whole lens. There are no instructions or guides to help you install these so since it's too short, you don't know where to place the edges and makes installation rather difficult. Heat gun or blow dryer is necessary. The film itself is thick and clear when applied correctly, but I took mine off as you can clearly notice it does not have full coverage.

Typically a Great Product, But a Little Disappointed This Time

I have purchased & installed about 8-10 XPEL headlamp protection kits. Typically the they are precision cut. But, this kit had an edge on one of the headlight films that was not cut cleanly/accurately. Fortunately I was able to trim it using a set of razor blade like tools. XPEL makes good products, but this one fell a little short of what I have come to expect from them. But, once I trimmed it, it looks fine. Didn't want to go through return & replacement as I already started to install.

Easier than I expected

Reading some of the reviews about some people having difficulties on applying, I was sort of nervous about dropping 40 bucks on it. However it's actually not that bad. You need just need heat to and patience. Just mold the cover on the headlight and bam. perfect everytime!

Best value in maintaining lens clarity for a like new look

Strong at resisting the sand blasting effect from roadway dirt and flying stone chips, the xpel film also keeps the illumination shining clearly through the lens for those distant views in the dark.

Quality Plus

These protectors are thick and I can see why some people might have a problem putting them over their headlights with a lot of 3d curvature to them, fortunately for me my Mercury Milan headlights are very 2D and flat. So my install was very easy straight forward. I highly recommend them and if you have any doubt about installation have a pro do it. They're still worth it.

Perfect fit, easy installation

By following the instructions making sure to spray the sticky side with the water/alcohol solution and using a blow dryer to warm up the plastic to help mold around the light these were an easy install. After a couple days all small blemishes molded out. After 3-4 days you can not even tell these are installed without super close inspection. Make sure not to touch the sticky side with your fingers, but hold by the edges.

good product challenging to install

installing is a bit of a challenge. instructions are pretty good. my advice is to take your time and work slowly. using a heat gun is absolutely necessary., as creasing and imperfections will slowly disappear with heat and firm pressure using the supplied tool. i still have milky discoloration under the film, a week after install, but it is slowly disappearing ( instructions say it can take up to 2 weeks).

2014 Q50

Unlike other headlight film, Q50 has separate pieces for each headlight due to odd shape. I have installed many xpel headlight film but this one was the most difficult one. Overall quality was always as expected for xpel.
