Description:

It's an all too common problem: you regularly have something hitched to your bumper, but you don't want to mutilate your rig with monster-size towing mirrors. Instead, you put up with strapping on flimsy extenders before each haul, and hope that they won't shake off halfway to the drop site. The solution to this roadway annoyance is CIPA's Extendable Replacement Side View Mirrors. They slide in and out a full 4.25" for a clear line of sight around any boat, trailer or 5th wheeler.

Besides being incredibly handy, your CIPA Extendable Replacement Side View Mirrors are custom made for a stock fit and finish. They even boasts fold-away and break-away features when you need to maneuver through narrow routes.

For unmatched visibility, the Extendable Mirrors use a huge 10" x 10" glass face. And, you also get a set of spot mirrors to clear any blinds. The no-drill installation is a breeze, and all hardware is included, along with a 1-year warranty.

Notes:
  • CIPA did not engineer the Extendable Replacement Side View Mirror for vehicles with factory mirror options, such as turn signals, puddle lights and memory.

Not happy

This order is the first time I was dissatisfied with the quality of the items I got. I try making the driver side mirror work better but didn't help l hate to complain about it but the mirror is the biggest issue.

Better than I expected

I thought the mirrors we're going to be way too big, untill I got them on, they are great. The only complaint, the passenger side mirror is not curved to see more like the factory installed mirrors. The hot spot that came with the mirrors will make up for that. Paul D

These mirrors are awesome. The only complaint I have are the small mirrors that they send in with the mirrors don't stay on very well if it's hot outside. Needs a better way to fix they to the mirror

Aftermarket extendedable side mirrows

I thought it would be a little difficult to install as the instructions should the door panel had to come off! However that was not accurate, and they installed in about 20 to 30 minutes. They look great!!!

sideview miirors

Mirrors are large and partially blocks views forward. Would have preferred mirrors shown in ad. The all-plastic composition makes me question durability.

too much for too little

These mirrors pale in comparison to my TTTs which had heat and lights for half the price, the plastic looks cheap, the telescoping assembly seems like the wind might break it off. The mirrors, the only redeeming virtue, are nice and very large.

Seeing is Security

Having a Dually with Exhaust Stacks on it, seeing behind was a little difficult. These mirrors enabled me to see behind, but not stick out so far as to be a problem. Both were installed in about 45 minutes and worked great.

Extendable Mirrors

I would rather the mirrors fold back into the door vs. forward towards the hood. Had I known this I would have opted for OEM.

Wiring documentation

The wiring documentation for the driver & passenger does not work. I have the up&down mechanism working but only from experimentation. I would not recommend this product to anyone installing them into a Ford F-250 Super Duty.

Much larger than stock

Very easy to install even by yourself, larger than stock but still swing out of the way like the stock mirrors. The set I installed were manual so I do not know what the other options are like to install.I would highly recommend them to any one in need of tow mirrors.

Should of bought these long ago.

These mirrors are great, my towing is much easier now that I can actually see the cars to the left and right of me. The only problem I had was one of the mirror lenses was off the base (not AA's fault). I just stuck it on and it was good to go after that, I only hope it doesn't fall off when shutting the door. Other than that everything was great, thanx AutoAnything for the fast and easy purchase, I will definately shop here again.

Instalation was nice, the mirriors hang low, about 3 to 4 inches below window, makes it hard for a quick look at the blind spot. They worked well.

Great replacement mirrors

I purchased the mirrors for my 2002 GMC Sierra Truck. I found a value in the review that said not to remove the door panel. It wasn't necessary to do so. Total time on install was about 30 minutes. They work great for my 5th wheel. I wish I had done this 5 years ago when I first bought my 5th wheel. Great vision, no vibration. Absolutely love them.

Towing Mirrors

These mirrors are very well made. The instructions were extremely accurate and easy to follow. Excellent upgrade to an older Chevy that is used for towing.

Jerry of NC

I was surprised as to how easy they were to install. They are just what I wanted since I pull a camper and the add on extenders that I had didnt give a good range of view.

CIPA Extendable Mirrors - 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

Perfect fit. No objectionable vibration retracted or extended. Manual extension works smoothly. Provides greatly improved view for trailer towing. Installation took approximately one hour total for both sides....as long as you don't follow the instructions provided. Instructions call for the inner door panels to be removed in addition to the inside, triangular, plastic trim directly opposite the mount. Not nessary to remove the inner door panels as the fasteners (nuts) and the electrical connection are all accesible once the triangular plastic trim is removed. One of the two "free", stick-on, blind spot mirrors included was destroyed in shipment.
