The installation was challenging. It requires removing and cutting of the plastic covers underneath. The front mud flaps are incompatible. It also requires a high level of manual dexterity to maneuver bolts and brackets in the frame. Installation took about 3 hours. The first side 2.5 hours the other side about 30m (figured it out). You will need a deep socket 18mm for the rear brackets. I also recommend a trim puller for the plastic pieces. The trouble is worth the installation savings.

I bought these so my two year old daughter could get in and out of the car with ease. They work perfect for this . They were extremely difficult to install and I had a body shop do it. The directions were horrible to read also . It took them 6 hours to get them on but they look great on my car

This item is an amazing upgrade for my 2008 toyota highlander. Its the exact look I'm looking for to make m.y car look sporty. I chose black because roof rack is black. and I can't believe affordable nerf bars are. 1 little setback. installing these bars to any toyotas maybe extremely difficult. I had help from a guy who knows cars and have all the appropriate tools. and together it took us about 4 hours to complete the installation. but All that time is worth it when it's done.
