The step 2 work great. I have a 4 inch lift in my 2500 HD 8.1, it was a pain to reach in the box Step 2 took care of that problem. The only thing wrong was the instructions were a real pain. It looks as if I got instructions for older Step installation and a set for a upgraded installation. It took some time to figure out what was going on. I also bought the step bumper one and that is a great help with the 4 inch lift kit.

Vertically Challenged

It took a little time to install but being short and trying to reach in truck bed was almost impossible. Adding the step made it easy to get things from the tool box or bed of the truck. Very handy.

Very pleased

Installed on 2012 GMC Denali 2500HD. Very useful product install is a little difficult if u don't have an angle drill! Tucks up under the truck close and looks great! My only compliant is that I offset the step to put it closest to the rear of the truck and the step has a little bit of flex to it if you get close to the edge of it. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Handy

Well constructed. Tucks neatly under the bed. I'd prefer it a little closer to the back tire but it still gives you decent access. Allow yourself up to an hour for install. If you're impatient, not mechanically inclined, or don't have a good assortment of sockets and adapters, you will have a hard time installing it. Instructions are a bit counterintuitive but they make sense in the end so follow them. One spacer doesn't match the photo in the instructions, again mechanical abilities are a must.
