"Once I figured out where to mount them on the frame, it went fairly easy. Look great" —Thomas C from Hanover Park, IL bought a Westin 3" Signature Series Nerf Bars for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Extended cab.

"Purchased running boards and arrived the next day! All components were well packaged. Installation took about 5 hours overall. Running boards were pretty expensive but well worth it. Glad I spent the extra money to get what I really wanted. Installation directions were complete as well. I would highly recommend this product to everyone!" —Ryan H from Visalia, CA bought an AMP Power Step Running Boards for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Crew cab.

"These nerf bars were just what I wanted--to help me and my wife get into my Chevy Silverado heavy-duty truck more easily. Installation took about 2 hours--with clear directions. The bars are well made and look extremely good on my truck. I especially like the third step which enables me to get into truck bed where my toolbox is." —Tammye K from Stamping Ground, KY bought a Go Rhino Dominator III Wheel-to-Wheel Nerf Bars for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, 1500, extended cab, 6' 6" short bed.

"Shipped fast. Very happy with the steps. Directions were wrong on tools needed, but I was expecting that after reading other reviews." —Alexander D from Tallahassee, FL bought a Westin 4" Platinum Oval Step Bars for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, 1500, crew cab.

"Once I figured out where to mount them on the frame, it went fairly easy. Look great" —Thomas C from Hanover Park, IL bought a Westin 3" Signature Series Nerf Bars for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Extended cab.

"First of all I really like the step bars themselves, but I think the mounting brackets could have been one piece and not so many bolts to install them. Four out of eight bolts broke on me because the locking nuts locked up before the bolt got tight. Also the directions had no written instruction just pictures, so that was a little confusing. Other than that, again I really like the step bars and how they look." —Robert M from Willow Grove, PA bought a Romik 3" Max Bars Side Steps for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Crew cab.

"These step bars are great there stong n look nice n easy to istal I highly recommended" —Fernando C from El Paso, TX bought a Dee Zee Elite 3" Round Nerf Bars for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Crew cab.

"The nerf bars were fairly easy to install after going to the hardware store to purchase the correct size washers and lock washersfor the body bolts. over all i am pleased." —Jeanine R from Cedar Park, TX bought an Aries 3" Round Nerf Bars for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Crew cab.

"After my previous purchase of a lite rider tonneau which was very satisfying, I ordered the Nerf bars on a Monday evening so I hopefully would have them for a weekend install. Wednesday morning they were delivered to my house!!! After reading the instructions and going to the hardware store for an appropriate size socket I had them on in an hour. Saved myself the installation costs and the price was $150 less than the dealer was going to charge. Paying myself $150 an hour was very satisfying. (I received a $10 coupon for my last review of the tonneau and couldn't find it and it was not applied. That would be a nice option as a saved feature for Autoanything!!)" —Michael P from Canton, NY bought a Westin 3" E Series Nerf Bars for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Extended cab.

"Takes awhile to unwrap but fairly easy to install. Looks great on the truck." —Tyler M from Athens , AL bought a Smittybilt Nerf Steps for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Crew cab, 5' 6" short bed.

"Bought as a gift for my father, installation was an easy two person job, finished in just under an hour. Supplied bolts and washers were not exact fit, needed to use original bolts supplied with truck to attached to frame, which was not a problem, since the factor bolts are a better quality. No info on durability at this point." —James C from Strongsville, OH bought a Dee Zee Elite 3" Round Nerf Bars for a 2009 Chevy Silverado, Crew cab.

Westin Pro Traxx 4" Oval Nerf Bars

Ext. Cab

The middle bracket holes on the bar do not align with any mounting holes on the underside of the truck (reason for 3/5 on install and quality). Otherwise, a good product. If you want to keep them clean, get some mud flaps for the front end. View more reviews...
