The brackets themselves are stamped for their locations on the step bars. I used a 1/2" breaker bar to loosen the chassis bolts and had the bars mounted in about 30 minutes or less.

"High quality bars very easily installed. Instructions were good but the cab bolts provided were too short to fit my '06 GMC Sierra. Not a problems since the factory bolts could simply be removed and reinstalled to mount the brackets. It was easiest to start all the bolts before tightening them to aid in proper alignment. "For my 2500HD, installation was very simple, just two bolts per side, and they look great. The only downside that I have found is they scratch very easily if you step off of the pad. I am still getting used to them, and I will eventually be able to avoid this. "Westin did a good job making these bars. I bought the chrome steel because 304 stainless ones will rust if you do not take care of them. I like the idea that they bolted to the frame of my 2500 GMC regular cab Diesel PU. Instalation was very simple. Make sure you put the rubber cup bushing back first on the body then follow the directions as they are listed on the drawings. The directions do not mention this step. This is on GM trucks std cab. They lood nice on the truck and do not stick out too far but yet you can enter the truck with no problem.
