Description:

While on the clock, there are plenty of things for you to be focused on. Deadlines, important phone calls, meetings, and customer satisfaction should absolutely be your top priorities. Easily getting in and out of your work truck or van shouldn’t be anywhere near the top of this list. That’s why you need to consider adding the Luverne Grip Step Running Boards to your ride. After all, shouldn’t you be working smarter, not harder?

These Grip Step Running Boards are made to fit whatever lifestyle or career path you take. Whether you need these to fit your delivery van, dually pickup, or SUV, Luverne is sure to offer an affordable solution. A wide variety of fitments are available. You can choose between body or rocker mounting. Cab length and wheel-to-wheel fitments are also available. You can also choose different length boards for different sides, perfect for delivery vans with a single sliding door.

If your company has an Employee of the Month program, these boards are going to belong in the running. Made from 5052-H32 aluminum alloy, these boards are both lightweight and incredibly durable. The added textured black powder coat finish furthers the corrosion resistance, so rust will never be a concern, even in the harshest of conditions. It is also scratch and chip resistant, so long highway drives aren’t of any concern. As an added benefit, these running boards will also help protect your ride’s paint (and resale value) by deflecting anything that may kick up and otherwise ding and scratch. Contoured black plastic end caps help prevent sharp edges and help make these boards look like they came on your ride from the factory. Even the mounting brackets are made from powder coated high strength steel and all fasteners are formed from stainless steel. Luverne ensures that every part of these boards will hold up mile after mile.

Featuring a 7” wide stepping area, these boards are able to support drivers and passengers of all sizes and ages. Grip Step is more than just a clever marketing name. These running boards feature expanded, elevated metal treads across the entire top of the board that are designed to lock onto your boot, even in the worst storms. This ensures you get a confident footing every time. They are wear resistant and the open tread design allows water, dirt, and debris to simply pass through, not build up. The aggressive treads also catch any dirt and mud lingering on your boots, so it stays outside of your cab.

Want to further improve your workflow? Consider adding the Grip Step receiver hitch step to your truck. Made of the same high quality aluminum with the same textured metal treads, you’ll wonder how you ever used your truck bed without this life saving accessory. And for your work van, consider adding the rear step running board. This incredibly helpful accessory runs the length of your rear bumper and will prove incredibly handy with awkward, oversized packages.

All required hardware and easy to follow instructions are included with your purchase. Some assembly is required, but these steps are designed to use as many existing mounting points as possible, so install won’t be an all-day affair because Luverne knows that time is money. These boards are backed by a 1 year warranty. And when you purchase from AutoAnything, you’ll enjoy fast free shipping. Need some assistance? Our friendly, helpful customer service team is available 7 days a week to answer any questions you may have.

Awesome product. Safe secure footing and as a bonus it really helps protect the lower body from rock damage. I've had them on our 550 work truck for three years now. Ordering a set for another truck now.

Running boards

I bought these wheel to wheel running boards to replace the stock F250 Platinum edition running boards. These sit higher on the truck, but because they are wider this has not been an issue. The grip on them is much better. Installation instructions were clear, although the instructions said to use matte/flat paint for touch-ups and satin worked better for us. Kudos to Luverne and AutoAnything!

I like the self drilling screws

The instructions could use better pictures, but the steps and hardware are first rate. Once I realized self drilling screws meant "You drill them"everything went pretty smoothly. Great traction on the boards, not going to slip in the wet and snow.

Great Value

I looked at many different styles and decided Luverne Grip Step Running Boards because of their construction. I had running boards made from steel that lasted only 2 years. These are made from aluminum and the support brackets are made from stainless steel. They were easy to install and looks great. The only advice I can give is to make sure you have them lined up where you want them before you lock them down.

Love my new Running Boards

These running boards are rugged looking and heavy duty. I like that you can wipe mud and dirt from your shoes and it will fall through. Installation was a pain. They did not come with any good instructions. Had to google a video and even then it was not plain. I love them installed though.

Non-slip for winter snow and ice

Follow the instructional video and get your tools around - pretty simple installation. I wanted a non-slip step for my wife and myself and these work GREAT! Of course the salty-mushy-sloppy snow does stick to it when temps are in the 20's.

Great set of running boards for a work truck.

I love these hundred and fourteen inch running boards, the only downside is is the last bracket. Its design is a good design it just flexes a little bit. With my 200 lb body it will eventually give and bend at The Bitter End. So I'm going to weld my own heavy duty bracket and add it to a a crossmember on the bed. Then it will hold an elephant.

Stout step

Easy to install, step wide enough for big boots to step on. Would recommend to anyone wanting a step for a work truck, although they would look good a mall crawler to.

Pre-assemble every nut and bolt before trying to install!

Overall pretty satisfactory. The instructions could use some clarifying, and they are full of misspellings and grammatical errors. The first thing they tell you though is to pre-assemble - good advice! Especially with the lack of clarity and good English. Otherwise, very good quality.

2017 Silverado Double Cab

Product is as titled, 'Grip Step'. Mounting hardware was pretty easy to install when vehicle is on a lift. Would like to have galvanized metal parts powder coated black to match running boards. Painted them black myself and it was a decent match. Overall satisfied with the product, feel very safe standing on these running boards to enter and exit vehicle. Wheel to wheel length allows some access to the truck bed from behind the cab. Would buy again for future vehicle.

Full on Test of these badass boards

specifically chose these boards because they were widest 7" and longest wheel to wheel. should be @96", actual are 88".oh well, I guess I can make them work. I ordered the diesel mount kit even tho I have a gas motor. 16 chevy c2500 regcab, 8ft bed. I wanted body mounts not cheap flimsy rocker panel hangers. The kit came with 4 pairs of hangers to fit 4door crew cab. installed all four pairs hangers. slight disappointment in carrying capacity. I weigh 200, they flex a bit. expected more ridged

Grip step install

Hard to get drill bit started even with punch due to "waves" in the sheet metal. I put nutserts in at top of mounts instead of just screws. Much more secure now. Why not powdercoat the metal pieces that hold step to brackets? Everything else is black but these pieces, they stand out. I may powder coat them myself in oven.

The running board is fine but...

The running boards are good quality. The mounting system NOT so much. THe ad states no drilling on most vehicles. I had to drill 24 holes in the RAM Promaster and some of them in place too cramped to drill. Overall, I would'nt do it again.

Luverne Grip Step Running Boards Review

A written summary review if the installation process in the instructions would help. i.e. the reason for the special drills is for the thread cutting screws, etc., and the reason for the flat washers to be used as spacers, as needed... I figured all that out, but wasn't obvious until after I begun the installation.

Would have given 5 stars except...

Boards are awesome, solid and look great! Easy to install, brain wise. Physically challenging while laying on the ground under the rig. 4 stars only because the end covers are hard plastic. We'll see how long they last. Otherwise exactly what I wanted.

Maximum traction, sturdy brackets, Made in USA. Love 'em

The first thing you'll notice is the thickness of the powder-coated body (actually frame) brackets: They look and feel like the steel of the truck's own frame. The boards themselves have an aggressive open tread design for maximum traction, no matter what's on your boots. Consider the wheel-to-wheel (W2W) length boards--They give you sure-footed access to the front of the bed and rear window area. Now that she can actually climb aboard, my wife says she likes the truck after all.

A Great Step Up

Well laid out running boards with a simple install procedure. Picked aluminum for corrosion resistance for Northeast winters. I would have preferred the spacer plates and fasteners to be stainless steel but everything is stout and should hold up fine. Looks great on the Tundra and my wife loves the reduced step up height. Fast shipping and a great price from the website.

Meh.....Not as nice as I hoped

Very difficult to install. Some of the brackets are poorly designed. And some parts areas of the step feel too flexible.

Exceeded expectations

Wow!! American made in South Dakota. Steel, very high quality as you would expect, they are solid and sturdy. Really like the no slip traction of these bars. Because they are black, the result is a understated look which I really like since my truck is white. I bought the wheel to wheel version which has proven to be very helpful in getting into the forward section of the bed. As stated black gives the truck a sharp appearance! Auto Anything rep -- John was very helpful with dimensions.

Really nice.... but

Theyou are high quality and they look great! BUT theyes were a huge pain't time install. (I have a 2008 tundra) the first 3 brackets werected easy to attach, despite the poor directions. However I had to bring the truck to the body shop to disconnect the bed from the truck to install the last one which cost me an extra 200 bucks.

Nice fit

The brackets take a little bit of time to install but every thing lined up and the steps installed with no issues. I should have painted galvanized parts of the step kit before installing as you can see though the step but it is just a cosmetic thing. Very happy with how they turned out and now I have no problem cleaning the windshield or getting to the forward part of the truck bed to get stuff out. 2007 GMC Classic 3500 crew cab long bed 4x4
