Installing this is very straight forward. It took about 1 1/2hrs start to finish. But I already had an EGT probe and iDash 1.8 installed prior. I don't think I'll ever use settings above 3 because I tow a lot. 1 being stock, 2 daily driving, and 3 for towing. The rest is gravy. It's nice that it's a clean tune and has a lot of safety features to keep the motor within it's limits. Some say it's not the most powerful, but I feel it is the safest. And I want longevity along with the extra power.

installation was easy and simple. Beside drilling in exhaust manifold for egt sensor and dashboard for the switch, everything else was plug and play. Which is great when something go wrong, just pull over and disconnect three wire harnesses, plug in original and drive on till you can investigate the problem properly or call tech support; Which I had to do. I would write the whole experience, but I'm limited to 500 character. Let's just say it was a three weeks of drama so far and good result.

At first I wasn't sure if it really was working cause I couldn't really see big changes but after about a month I noticed the mpg gains. The power increase was quite amazing too. I feel this is a great product and as they say" you get what you pay for ". Already thinking about upgrading to the IQ.

I frequently tow an 11k fifth wheel camper during the summer months. My previous tuner was the DiabloSport Predator set @ 40hp, note I have an aftermarket intake and exhaust. After towing with my new Economind/IQ setup for several thousand miles I can honestly say I've experienced noticable improvements. The best has been with observed fuel economy...when set at level 2 on the Banks system I have seen a consistent 1-2mpg increase in towing mileage (was 9-10mpg now 11-12.5mpg hand-calculated). I recently pulled in a hot, heavy crosswind and still achieved 10.5mpg! I have noticed that the DIC mileage display is quite accurate now as well, and I find that handy. Power delivery with the Banks is smoother than my old tuner and w/ much less smoke. The IQ display has really enhanced my towing experience, too. I can track digital engine temp more accurately than with the stock analog gauge. In OD going up a large hill I see about 16lbs boost, and EGT no higher than 1150deg. Downshifting produces up to 26lbs boost with similar EGT readings. Engine temp varys from 184-215deg and the engine fan cycles much less now. It's comforting to know how safe this tuner is when towing in hot & hilly conditions. Banks produced a quality product with the Economind and yes I would recommend it to others.
