"Installation was somewhat difficult at first. First off, downloading new programs was difficult and for me impossible without having to downloaded a few other programs. After talking with someone from Superchip, I found out that for my 2001 7.3 powerstroke, there most likely would not be any more updates. When I connected the unit to my Excursion at first, it would start the process and then just shut down. After about 6 tries it finally successfully completed the programming cycle and the results were great. It is like a different motor all together. It really woke up the motor and I love driving it. The shifting is smooth and the excelleration amazing. I have not cycled through a tank of diesel yet to see fuel savings, but for what results I have already seen, I am not too concerned. I set it on the fuel efficient program, and I am anxious to see what the towing program will do when pulling my 10,000lb camper and also the performance setting.
