"Appearance is cool. Functionality takes abit to find everything. Recalibrating/Downloading from economy to performance takes a fair amount of time. Haven't noticed alot of power boost. Unit should come with the A pillar mount for the price. Overall rating is 3 1/2 stars." —John S from Gillette, WY bought a Bully Dog Triple Dog GT Tuner (49-State Legal) for a 2008 Ford F-250.
"on stock motor I get 16 MPG .and after installing the stage 3 program I got 20 MPG on the innerstate running 65 MPH. towing made no diference in gas mileage still 10-11 MPG." —John C from Elon, NC bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250, 6.4L Power Stroke, vin code: R.
"F250 6.4 liter 2008: The idle to acceletation to 15 mph does not change much, however once the turbo's kick in, the truck pulls you back into the seats,,, excelleration is very good, pulling loads is increased ability as well. Overall, very good change.
Gas mileage increased by 2 miles a gallon, maybe a little more.
Recomend adding ability to change shift points, and the truck would be a rocket.
The hypertech made a big difference in the performance." —Rod T from Shingle Springs, CA bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250, 6.4L Power Stroke, vin code: R.
"First review but I was compelled to share how much I like the Insight. I have their matching dash pod as well as and I can't believe the fit/finish these products have - first-class quality.
In terms of gauges, they are outstanding and have all the params I want to see as well as three-stage alerts that are insurmountable. I have total peace when using my other perf mods. The look of the Insight with the dash pod is IMHO far better (look and function) than the pillar gauges. The pod fits perfectly and looks like it was from the factory (without using any fasteners or modifying the dash)." —Michael H from Citrus Heights, CA bought a DiabloSport PC Interface - USB Cable Kit for a 2008 Ford F-250.
"Great product, Gained about 6 miles on fuel. Went from around 13 miles to almost 20 mpg highway. Only used economy setting and can tell it has more power, Would be afraid to go to EXTREME But could only imagine. Super easy installation, Looks factory and only takes minutes, Plug and play. Would like to see the A2s become available for the 6.4s. Super nice units with gauges built into unit. Great design." —Jeff H from Iuka, MS bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250, 6.4L Power Stroke.
"This is a great entry level mod for my truck. It was shipped very quickly, was easy to update via the internet and installed in 15 minutes. I have noticed the city mileage go up definitely and I am taking a 12 hour trip in October, so I imagine it will be excellent on het mileage. I have tried the economy, towing, and extreme settings. Can definitely feel better response in economy, my mpgs actually go up in tow mode and the extreme setting actually puts you back in the seat. Overall, its a great buy and looks good." —Damon G from Wilmington, NC bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250, 6.4L Power Stroke.
"got product quickly, install was easy and did not take long, looks good and works great" —Annemarie B from Austin, AR bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250.
"With the hypertech set on level 3 I managed to get 18.8 MPG on the computer and 18 MPG according to my own calculations. That is mostly city driving with a pretty heavy foot. The hypertech is the most recent of what I have put on the truck and I would say the mileage has gone up about 1-1.5 MPG. After the K&N complete intake, CFM+ intake elbow, a painless performance striker module and some exhaust work its been about a 7MPG improvement with me driving others can get it to around 22 MPG city. The power is Phenomonal with a FX4, crew cab, long bed Ford F-350 I can fish tail the truck already going between 25 and 30 MPH and it'll roast the tires through third gear. I definitly recommend the Max Energy programmer to anyone with a 6.0 powerstroke at least." —Allen W from Bagdad, AZ bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250, 6.0L Powerstroke.
"I bought the unit for towing. The dyno test results that were with it indicated nice power and torque gains in the RPM range where I normally drive. I drive 58-64 MPH when towing. Without the trailer on I've achieved a gain of .8 mpg around the local area on my F250. That's significant. I think it will do much better on trips." —Steve M from Odessa, MO bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250, 5.4L V8.
"Good programmer. Needs an update to adjust for tires bigger than 35's on the 08 Ford F-250." —Paul G from Hampton, VA bought a Hypertech Max Energy Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250.
"Well i bought this programer for added fuel economy. Have had it for several weeks now and gained about 1 mpg city driving. havn't had a chance to check highway driving yet. Was hoping for more but with all the EPA crap what can i expect? overall install was a breeze. i do notice a difference in HP. havnt tried out the other levels as of yet. but will soon. the lag in acceleration others have noticed with this new diesal is almost completley gone now that i am using this programer. But overall this is a good product..." —Brock C from Alexandria, VA bought an Edge Evolution Programmer for a 2008 Ford F-250, 6.4L Power Stroke.
