Description:

Your Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep is not a Prius. Where the wheezing of hybrid acceleration is acceptable to those who fill their rear window with stuffed animals, you own rough–and–tumble American iron with one thing in mind—burning rubber. For you, a real hybrid is a mixture of right foot and floorboard. But, for reasons unknown, factory programming turns the mighty Hemi, and unstoppable Jeep, into weenie city cars suitable for hauling groceries. Now, for Hemi and Jeep owners, the wait for better performance is finally over.

Living up to its name, the Hypertech Interceptor hijacks the factory programming and corrects it in real–time. The result is an immediate boost in horsepower, torque, throttle response and fuel economy. Installation is quick, easy and leaves your diagnostic port open.

Whether you're tearing up the streets or bounding over boulders, the Hypertech Interceptor is your key to unlocking your ride's true potential. And, to ensure the fun never ends, the Interceptor is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

ease of install

The install is really easy and they provide good instructions. I feel a little of a difference, and I am glad that I purchased and put in the product.

Extremely simple Tuner to install

Received the tuner, hooked the under the hood unit to my PC and selected my CAI, then installed both pieces that took like 10 minutes. Much improved throttle feel and power when you really get down on it, hopefully better fuel mileage also.

Hypertech

Installation was easy. Truck runs great but throttle still has soft touch and delay.

Impressive

Easy installation. Immediate detection that the product was engaged. I felt the difference when road testing the item...no more jump starts, it was smooth and steady. Also, I noticed improved fuel savings when traveling the next day for about 300 miles, then again on another trip of 150 miles. I'm very impressed.

Skeptical

Thought it would give better gas mileage, but really haven't seen it. Easy to follow directions and updates installed. It may growl a little more, but I also installed a k&n air filter at the same time and it was supposed to be a boost and still haven't seen any boost with either! So maybe if your foot is always in the gas it may save some, but the Tundra 6 speed is a shift monster and I did notice shifting differences but no change in my.

Hypertech Tuned up

Worth every penny. Paired with K&N CAI and definitely increased HP. Pedal much less sensitive and truck seems to shift smoother. 1 mpg increase on highway so far. Great investment!!

on the fence about hypertech

2012 5.7 hemi charger. Keep getting random misfire code. Unplugged hypertech cleared code put 50 miles on car no code. Called hypertech sent it in and they sent me another. Came code. Called hypertech they said they didn't know and they would replace it again or for me to return for refund. Product made power and torque if you dont mind your check engine light being on all the time.

Dissapointed, but has a use for some

It took my top end and put it down low, increased drive ability far as not downshifting and torque in higher than you have to be gears, but at wot in lowest gear lost top end, actually took .75 sec off 0 to 60, if you tow or have big tires and don't race, an could trade top end speed for low end torque it's for you, not for speed addicts. Low end mid range torque was very noticable but made truck overall slower

Good product. After I did a lift kit and bigger wheels and tires I got my original power back after installing the hypertec. Very easy to install. Took less than five minutes to do the complete installation.

Good product for the $

It took me about 10 minutes to install in my driveway. The power gain is subtle, and noticeable. I have a K&N 63 series added as well and the sound from that changed a little when accelerating and seemed a bit more responsive. The gas mileage gain is very little,.3 more mpg than before. I recommend putting after market (JET) mass air flow sensor in when you add the tuner, I had my check engine light come on after the first hard throttle. The factory MAFS cant handle performance tune.

Happy with better gas milage

Went from 14mpg to 16.4mpg , better shifting and always tries to keep engine under 2000rpm mostly running at 1500-1600 at hwy speeds if your not speeding. I shoulda got this years ago, i am running 35" Tires with a 9" Lift so fuel economy was lost but now better than before, im happy getting a 2.4mpg boost I also put in the Airraid throttle spacer at the same time between them both it's running better.

Nothing special

Installed in under 15 min. Had the HTI for a week now and driven over 1k miles. I lost 3 mpg and got a sluggish gas pedal. Not sure about hp but I have to push down further on my gas pedal to get throttling to kick in. Not what I wanted. Will return thus product.

Hypertech Interceptor

Couldn't really tell any difference on 87 octane but it did seem to come alive a bit on 93. Throttle response is definitely quicker though. I'd probably buy again just because I've heard bad things about the more expensive units on the market. Don't really think it helps gas mileage either. I do however have a CAI on the way & put exhaust on last month so we'll see how all the mods work together.

Hypertech Interceptor Tuner 2014 Toyota Tundra 4.6 4x4

Got rid of sensitive throttle, changed shift points to use engine power more effectively and increased my mileage by 2 mpg. It makes the truck fun to drive with the added zip. Reliability is unknown at this time. I would buy again.

DodgeRam 1500- Centerville Ohio

I had my doubts about this Tuner but I was wrong. I have had this about 3 weeks now and initially I could tell the quicker take off. Then I went on a Easter trip to Missouri (500)only this time I was getting 20-22mpg/ 16-17 @75mph and I still had kick. To Missouri and back I averaged 20-21 mpg and was happy and the power continues to improve. Now that I have installed a K&N filter I think things will even get better. I would definitely buy this product again.

Power? Definitely!

Quick shipment & delivery. Installation was simple to follow; however, when I started the car I received a check engine light and was very disappointed. Contacted AutoAnything customer service and asked for a refund. Fortunately, the CSR took her time asked if I would be willing to speak with a Hypertech representative to troubleshoot the install. Glad I did, because the gentleman at Hypertech got me on track & I couldn't be happier! Great power & engine response! Time will tell on gas mileage.

Not sure, but I'm happy

I hated the pick up on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, and can attest that after I plugged in the Tuner I definitely felt much more "pep" when I step on the gas. However, my MPG has gone to crap. I think on highway I do get better mileage now, but in city I get worse, and I drive mostly in the city. Someone who puts mostly highway miles should see an improvement. Either way, it made me much happier to drive my car, and that is worth the 300 bucks to me.

Not worth the cost

I installed this with a afe stage 2 si hoping to see improved fuel economy. I already had trd exhaust. On my last tnak of gas which was 80 city and 20 highway I got 12.7 mpg. Not the improvement I was looking for if anything in the winter my mpg maybe went up .25. Not worth the money. You should be able to buy the under the hood piece and pedal piece seperate as well. I only installed the under hood piece as I read too many issues with the pedal piece breaking leaving no throttle.
