Pistol grip type shifter. Gotta push down then move then release to change gears. Nice feel, sturdy material. Look is an improvement over stock. Do recommend.

It looks and feels great on the car, however I have two complaints. First, it came with one of the tiny screws for the base missing, which is not a big deal because it still stays on well but it was annoying to have it missing after spending 200 dollars. Second, the zip tie they give you to put the boot back on is bulky so you can see it through the leather. I would suggest using a smaller one.
