Installed these front and back on my 2001 jeep grand Cherokee. They ride great, look great, and are nice n quiet. I'm not about paying$300 for bilsteins or 100 each for the Rancho9000. I got blue shock boots extra cuz that's my favorite color and goes well with my blue truck.

Wow

I ordered both front and rear Skyjacker 8000 shocks for my 2005 Jeep Wrangler. They arrived earlier than expected. When I opened the box, I was stunned by the shear size of these shocks compared to the stock shocks. They look amazing.

Good name, good history

Unfortunately made in mexico for a long time, but a trusted product at a really good price.

Partial mis-information and some assembly required.

I had to resort to the on-line chat to get some answers about these shocks. I was told they were made in the United States, so I ordered them. They are made in Mexico, only some parts made in the US. Rather then return them I decided to stick with them. Skyjacker ships them unassembled and doesnt tell you there is a special grease that makes assembly easier. They also shipped them with boots that were too small. I didnt bother Auto-know nothing, and Skyjacker did ship out new boots at no charge- but I have to pay to have the new boots swapped out for the short ones. Any value I saved in the price I lost in the added labor. With labor rates what they are I should have gone with Rancho's and bought them locally.

Short front boots

Not saying that installation was a bree, but it was no problem with a vice, however the front boots seem to be to short, I am going to have to add zippties on both ends.

nice shocks for the $$

Bushing installation was a bit tough. All other aspects of the install were easy. They offer a nice ride. Overall they are a big upgrade from the shocks I replaced.
