Ths springs raised the hitch above the ground by 2 1/4 inches. This improves the load capacity as well as the ride. The Explore Sport Trax does not sway when going over dips and speed bumps as before installing the springs.

I installed the springs on my 2000 Mercury Mountaineer because I was experiencing severe rear end sag when towing my trailer. The installation went well, although the directions could be a little more detailed. I called the tech support line to confirm my installation was correct and they were very helpful. The ride of my Mountaineer unloaded displayed no apparent changes in ride quality. The handling appears to be a little more crisp not to mention the increased load carrying capacity is well worth the investment.
