Monroe Load Adjusting Shock Reviews

Great product

Reviewed By robert H (Fergus Falls, MN) Reviewed for a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer —10/30/2017 10:08 AM

Monroe always makes great products. Would be much easier to install if shock came compressed, you need to Jack vehicle by frame to get wheels completely off ground and you still will need to compress to get bottom bolt but I'm sure it a safety concern why they don't come compressed.

So far, they are eexcellent.

Reviewed By Norman S (DEARBORN, MI) Reviewed for a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer —4/2/2016 4:26 PM

Had the shocks installed at a shop. Would have done it myself, but weather isn't what I want to get under the SUV. Only on a week, so difficult to rate. Saw some comments that the bladder in a shock might not last long, but I've had Hijackers on several other vehicles over the years, and they've never failed. Hope that will be the same with this vehicle.

Overpriced, but works

Recommend comparison shopping, and don't be afraid to use either another name brand, distributor, or both. These parts are fairly straightforward, and I would make a change to save even a dollar.
