Gave 2011 Toyota 4Runner Better Handling and Ride Than New

Reviewed By thomas j (Keller, TX) Reviewed for a 2011 Toyota 4Runner —9/20/2018 2:14 PM

The original shocks and struts on my 2011 4Runner, with 76,000 miles, were getting weak. I chose the Bilstein 5100s, so that I would have the option of lifting the front end a little, with the strut install. I used the .85" lift setting, on the struts, to get a more level appearance. The vehicle rides, handles, and stops better than when new. They are a huge improvement over OEM. The headlights did need to be lowered a little, due to the lift. 100% satisfied.

Easy to install and so far work great

Reviewed By Marshall B (SEATTLE, WA) Reviewed for a 2014 Toyota Tundra —9/17/2018 6:30 PM

I haven't fully tested them with a heavy load, but they went on with relative easy once I figured out how to correctly build the right and left versions. I had to jack to truck up from a different place than the axel in order to get enough space between the leaf springs. Hardest part was cutting the old rubber pieces on my tundra.
