2008 Ford F 150 Suspension Systems

The suspension system on your car has two main jobs:
  1. Keeping your tires in good contact with the road as you travel
  2. Making sure your spine is still intact once you get there

Too much of one goal might allow the other goal to suffer a bit (depending on how you drive), so there is a balance to hit here. Depending on the vehicle's intended purpose, that balance might bias to one side more than another. Where we come in, is that we give you the tools to tweak that balance for your intended purpose, or maybe return it back to where it should be, if you're sitting on some worn out parts.

Diving deeper, your suspension system is also largely responsible for ensuring even tire wear, giving your steering a relatively neutral platform to do its thing, and allow for appropriate weight transfer under braking/acceleration/cornering to keep your car going where you point it.

"If you have a 2008 f-150 and doubting the thought of a 3" lift, I can attest that your truck will look great with it - mine does. As far as handling, I did not notice any changes in the handling. After I have driven 500 miles (to allow the suspension to settle in) I had it realigned with the specs provided by Truxx. Installation was a breeze!! I highly recommend this product to those looking to give their truck a better looking stance." —Jonathan S from Berlin, PA bought a Traxda Lift Kits for a 2008 Ford F-150, 4WD.

"The kit raised my Ford F150 almost 3 inches in the front and it really looks good. It makes it look like a 4X4 is suppose to look. I would suggest going to the ReadyLift web site and watching the installation video a couple of times before you attempt the installation. The video was very helpful because the instructions that come with the kit are short and brief. I will probably buy the readylift block kit for the back also." —Richard H from Hattiesburg, MS bought a ReadyLIFT Leveling Kits for a 2008 Ford F-150, 2WD.

"The installation video on the manufacturers website walked me through the entire process. Simple. Easy. Looks great!! When bolting kit on top of strut, be sure to use the 3 original nuts that you remove and bolt them back on the strut studs. The 3 new nuts should only go on top of the new extension. The threads dont match exactly and it will be a royal pain if you try to put new nuts on old studs. I did this with one nut and immediately caught the error when it wouldn't thread properly." —Carlos C from Delray Beach, FL bought a ReadyLIFT Leveling Kits for a 2008 Ford F-150, 2WD.

"These blocks are very well made and have the O.E.M. design that makes the intsall very easy. I have seen friends who went with cheaper products that started to rust after a couple weeks. These blocks have a heavy powder coating that will out last the truck." —Andrew F from Tampa, FL bought a ReadyLIFT Rear Block Kits for a 2008 Ford F-150, 4WD.

"Very happy with the new height of the truck. The 1" kit raises the front about 1.5"." —Marc W from Coral Springs, FL bought a Daystar Comfort Ride Leveling Kits for a 2008 Ford F-150.

"This was an easy install. Good descriptions in directions. Still rides like factory settings" —Ben B from Cordele, GA bought a Daystar Comfort Ride Leveling Kits for a 2008 Ford F-150.

"The leveling kit that I needed for my truck was the 3". It took my mechanic about 1 1/2 hours to install, he said it was pretty easy. Besure and get a front end alignment because my truck was out of alignment a little. Overall the kit is awesome and my truck looks awesome as well. I highly recommend it the price is right." —Ruben H from Bastrop, TX bought a ReadyLIFT Leveling Kits for a 2008 Ford F-150, 2WD.

Air Lift Wireless Air Compressor System

AIR LIFT SYSTEM - BAGS AND WIRELESS CONTROL

I received the packages as scheduled. Reviewed instructions and installed. The hardest part was deciding where to mount the compressor and controller. All connections, mounts, tubing and hardware are top quality! Highly recommend! Took me about 4 hours to fully install - at night in the driveway - by myself!! I was a factory trained Ford and BMW technicians and some mechanical aptitude is recommended. The change in the ride and handling of my F150 is unbelieveable. View more reviews...

Air Lift WirelessOne Air Control System

Convenient System

The install was relatively easy. The only issue I had was deciding where to mount the compressor and how to connect to power. I did not like the idea of drilling a hole in my fuse box and jumping a fuse in order to make the connection. Other than that, everything was relatively easy to install. View more reviews...

Your Suspension Not Cutting It? Top 10 Suspension Parts to Consider In 2021

Friends don’t let friends buy bad parts. Throw away that eBay link for that $200 coilover set, and don’t even think about cutting those springs! The truth is that if we’re talking about common upgrades on our cars/trucks, I would imagine that the suspension is one of the most often misunderstood systems on our cars.
