2003 Ford F 350 Suspension Systems

The suspension system on your car has two main jobs:
  1. Keeping your tires in good contact with the road as you travel
  2. Making sure your spine is still intact once you get there

Too much of one goal might allow the other goal to suffer a bit (depending on how you drive), so there is a balance to hit here. Depending on the vehicle's intended purpose, that balance might bias to one side more than another. Where we come in, is that we give you the tools to tweak that balance for your intended purpose, or maybe return it back to where it should be, if you're sitting on some worn out parts.

Diving deeper, your suspension system is also largely responsible for ensuring even tire wear, giving your steering a relatively neutral platform to do its thing, and allow for appropriate weight transfer under braking/acceleration/cornering to keep your car going where you point it.

"excellent product, raised truck the advertised height. Took longer to gather blocks and block up truck than it did to install add-a-leafs. The long center pins that came with springs made it a breeze to line up. Didn't stiffen ride one bit. Holds heavy 7.3 diesel with ease." —Lawrence H from Silver City, NM bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2003 Ford F-350.

"a little tricky to put on better have all the right tools and a couple of floor jacks. price is a little salty for the springs. make sure to have truck aligned after instalation. MADE IN USA makes it worth the $" —Dave M from Elida, OH bought a ReadyLIFT Leveling Kits for a 2003 Ford F-350.

"These shocks are great because they are one of the few made for either stock heigth or up to a leveling kit for a Ford Superduty. They are a breeze to put on, I didn't have to raise the vehicle or even take the tire off. The best part is the feel, they ride just like factory shock, if not better, and for a great price!" —Steven H from Chesapeake, VA bought a Skyjacker Lift Kits for a 2003 Ford F-350.

"Replace the original Rancho's after many years of service. Today was all new Rancho's with air bag suspension, should be a great ride." —Mark S from Charleston, WV bought a Rancho RS9000XL Shocks for a 2003 Ford F-350.

"Shocks were received in four business days and easily installed in about an hour with the help of my son. No instructions received, but really don't need them, they only go on one way and can easily be determined by the overall shock position and adjustment knob. These replace my Ranch 5000 series, which in my estimate are too light for the F350 series, especially if you are carrying heavy loads or heavy towing." —Lello G from Colbert, WA bought a Rancho RS9000XL Shocks for a 2003 Ford F-350.

Firestone In-Cab Air Command Kit

have yet to install

I have yet to install because I'm on vacation. Will be installing early April. My brother has this unit and it works GREAT so I'm excited to get mind done. I pull a 35' 5th wheel and I manually inflate (yes that's a pane).Planning to install pump behind back seat. View more reviews...

VIAIR Onboard Air Systems

very happy with everything. ended up adding this to airride controller and loadlifter ultimate for my 2008 f350 dually. I mixed and matched the parts I needed to get the results I wanted. mounted compressor and tank in tool box in truck bed. loud from the outside. can't hear it in the cab over my diesel though. Air Lift WirelessOne Air Control System

beerwhisper

I installed the system myself, in one day. The instructions were excellent. I downloaded them before delivery, so I knew what to expect. For ignition power, I tapped off the trailer plug harness. Dropping the spare tire provided plenty of room for the compressor and related hardware. There were no leaks or electrical issues, so I zip-tied all hoses and wires. I really like the system. When hooked up to our 39' 5th wheel, I use preset 2. Empty, I use preset 1. Very nice! View more reviews...

Your Suspension Not Cutting It? Top 10 Suspension Parts to Consider In 2021

Friends don’t let friends buy bad parts. Throw away that eBay link for that $200 coilover set, and don’t even think about cutting those springs! The truth is that if we’re talking about common upgrades on our cars/trucks, I would imagine that the suspension is one of the most often misunderstood systems on our cars.
