2004 Ford Mustang Suspension Systems

The suspension system on your car has two main jobs:
  1. Keeping your tires in good contact with the road as you travel
  2. Making sure your spine is still intact once you get there

Too much of one goal might allow the other goal to suffer a bit (depending on how you drive), so there is a balance to hit here. Depending on the vehicle's intended purpose, that balance might bias to one side more than another. Where we come in, is that we give you the tools to tweak that balance for your intended purpose, or maybe return it back to where it should be, if you're sitting on some worn out parts.

Diving deeper, your suspension system is also largely responsible for ensuring even tire wear, giving your steering a relatively neutral platform to do its thing, and allow for appropriate weight transfer under braking/acceleration/cornering to keep your car going where you point it.

"I bought the Pro-Kit for my 2004 Mach 1. I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be a noticable drop, but I think it is perfect. I compared my Mach to my friends Mach that has the stock springs and you can totally tell mine does sit lower. I haven't scraped the bottom at all, so I think it is a perfect height. The install was easy...well my friends did it for me...and the ride has improved a little bit also. So overall I am very happy with these springs! I was also very pleased with the service from Autoanything. They shipped right away and this is were I found them the cheapest! Cannot beat that deal!" —Jaclyn L from Burbank, IL bought an Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs for a 2004 Ford Mustang.

"Installation was simple and straight forward and too about an hour and half to install both front and back. The results were incredible works perfectly with Eiback Prokit handling was greatly improved over stock. I would reccomned to anyone with a Mustang to install theses." —Owen G from Lakewood Ranch, FL bought an Eibach Anti Roll Bars for a 2004 Ford Mustang.

"Nothing is not great about these springs. Every Mustang needs a set because of how they change the cars appearance to what the designers must have wanted, but Ford couldn't or wouldn't mass produce." —Daniel S from Central Point, OR bought an Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs for a 2004 Ford Mustang, Mach1.

"These springs lowered my 2004 Mustang GT to the perfect ride height while maintaining a good ride quality. The responsiveness in tight turns and high speeds provides less vehicle tilt and better grip to the road. Overall appearance is a eye catcher and stands out from the rest." —Christopher C from South San Francisco, CA bought an Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs for a 2004 Ford Mustang, Hardtop, 4.6L V8.

"These are a high quality stock replacement shock. Ride is only slightly more firm." —Tracy J from Dacula, GA bought a KONI STR.T Orange Shocks for a 2004 Ford Mustang.

"the bbk strut tower is the brace to get because it fits with your cold air intake and after market throttle body spacers" —Dale R from Brownfield, ME bought a BBK Gripp Strut Tower Braces for a 2004 Ford Mustang, GT.

"The product itself is excellent. The ride is great coupled with the Eibach Pro kit shocks/spring kit (which I did). The body roll is greatly reduced and this baby will make hard turns on really flat ground. Thanks AutoAnything for the coupon code and free shipping. I saved about $50 over the next best price for the exact same product!!" —Jeff H from Long Beach, MS bought an Eibach Anti Roll Bars for a 2004 Ford Mustang.

"Ended up taking kit to a local shop for install. Took them 90 to put on. After initial install system deflated on my way home, a fitting popped off. Took it back for a quick remedy. System works best when maxxed out to the 35psi. Car looks and runs great and no more rubbing in the rear with those big massive tires that I put on. And the air leveling offers a better ride than the traditional air shocks. Nice kit would recommend." —Stafford F from Philadelphia, PA bought an Air Lift Air Bag Suspension Kit for a 2004 Ford Mustang.

KYB Excel-G Shocks & Struts

Nice ride

I replaced the front struts and rear shocks with KYB nice tight ride. Much smoother although I had a blown strut so I would expect that. All in all a ride well good value for the money. View more reviews...

Your Suspension Not Cutting It? Top 10 Suspension Parts to Consider In 2021

Friends don’t let friends buy bad parts. Throw away that eBay link for that $200 coilover set, and don’t even think about cutting those springs! The truth is that if we’re talking about common upgrades on our cars/trucks, I would imagine that the suspension is one of the most often misunderstood systems on our cars.
