Rancho RS55044

I've been using Rancho shocks for 35 years. This new set lacks installation instructions and good hardware. Shocks don't usually require much instruction but the hardware, in particular the rubber cushion disks and nuts do not fit well - the shoulder rubber is not the correct dimension for the tower hole. It does however sort of fit in the other direction. Sloppy engineering. Second is the locknuts, they and required 40ftlbs just to thread onto the shock. Used nylon locking nuts instead.

OK for smaller trucks, but not good for 3500

This would probably work OK for the gas powered, but the extra weight of the diesel makes the front pogo stick. Had to upgrade to better shocks. Outside of that I think they are great shocks. Look good. built well.

Great ride!

After putting these on my 2011 Silverado 2500, I did not realize how bad my old shocks were. These were easy to install, look great and, most importantly make it ride like a dream

Above average

Parts arrived quickly. Note a couple minor shortcomings. One of the shocks was minus a necessary mounting bolt but included an extra nut. Once installed, the ride is actually a little softer than what I would have liked, but still close. None of these are deal breakers by any means.

Smooth Ride Upgrade

The factory installed shocks were replaced to gain a better (smoother)ride from my 2014 Jeep. Once they were replaced with the Rancho shocks and struts, the Jeep rode much smoother. Had the 2" level kit added to the front as well and she looks much more aggressive. Very happy with the upgrades.

Very speedy delivery. And they fit with no problems. And a very noticeable better ride for my van.

Zip ties?

Rancho should come up with a better way to keep the shock boots secure than the included zip ties! Looks lousy!

Rancho RS5000X Shocks

I replaced worn out shocks on a 1999 4x4 Chevy 1500 with these shocks and the ride is markedly smoother and the cornering more controlled. Also, delivery was the fastest I have ever had on a mail order product: 24 hours.

Great Shocks

Factory replacement shocks. Fit and fitment correct. Replaced previous original Rancho shocks with 217,000 miles on 2007 Ford F-250 super duty 4wd. No problems encountered. Ride and handling returned to like new characteristics.

Very pleased

I tow a fair amount with my Canyon, and wanted a set of shocks to control the bouncing ride when towing. These Rancho's are very nice shocks. The ride is much more controlled and buttoned down, in both regular driving and towing. I would buy them again.

Bought again

I had installed Rancho RA5000 shocks some years ago and it was time to replace them. I was so pleased with the first set, i put Rancho's back on again. The ride is quiet as well as rugged when they need to be.

Rancho Rs5000X - Nice Shocks!

I have a 2015 GMC 2500 that came with Ranchos. I recently installed a leveling kit, but the stock shocks weren't cutting it after the leveling kit install. I bought these because they offer them for use with a leveling kit. Wow - what a difference! So after installing the front ones, I ordered the same ones for the back. I just installed them and they are fantastic! They were easy to install and the ride is so much better! I highly recommend them!

As good as it gets!

Not only did I purchase these Rancho shocks due to the name. But, they were also priced very competitively as well. I was getting a lot of bouncing (washboard) in the rear of my F150, before the installation of these shocks. After installing them, the ride difference was immediately noticed. The ride in general is better, & the handling now is that like it should be. Overall, I am as satisfied as I could possibly be!
