I spent a significant amount of time reviewing the multitude of tonneau cover options available. Decided to roll the dice on the Extang and am very satisfied with the purchase. The ease of installation (four brackets on the existing bed rails), the fit and finish of the product, ease of removal and product weight are all spot on making this an excellent tonneau cover solution.

The directions were not so clear how to use the extra hardware to make it fit a Toyota Tacoma. We were also under the impression it could be locked/strapped open with only one panel folded back, this is not possible, the straps are not long enough. Wish there were strap extenders to accomplish this.

This is a great cover with easy flexibility. However I would like to note that the solid fold emblem on mine was very crooked. I would think for $800 they could take the time to put these on straight. No worries, I just pulled mine off, it is only a sticker.

Went on easy and looks great. Box was fine when it arrived. I'm worried about the dependability of the plastic handles that you disengage to open it as I live in a cold weather climate and plastic can become brittle in the cold, but so far so good. Haven't had any rain yet so I can't speak to the waterproofing, but if you follow the directions and install the foam pads to seal up the front gaps, it should be pretty water tight as I see no light coming in. Price could be less for what it is thoug
