I purchased this to replace BAK roll top cover. I wanted a cover that would allow me to stand on it to wipe the top of the truck cab. The biggest down-side is that you have to close the tailgate first and then the last section of the tonneau cover. I hope future models will have a stop and then a manual push to lock feature. The difficult with closing the tailgate first is that friends don't always do this and damage to the last piece can be the result.

This cover replaced a fiberglass/steel cover that was 12 years old and was very difficult to remove and reinstall by myself. The negatives are 1) I lose about 2-3" in height as the old one sat on top of the bed 2) as I found out during installation the bakflip is black and it gets much hotter in the bed than my old one. But, the positives outweigh the negatives. It is much easier to get to the front of the bed, I can fold it up to hose the bed out or to load. Plus I think it looks better.

This cover fits flawlessly, and allows for use of the whole bed. My only complaint is it lets water in- I'm guessing if you want 100% dry you should buy a one piece.

Installed the cover, and 2 days later we got 8 inches of snow in Atlanta. As it melted, I was curious how much would leak into the truck bed. Answer is not one drop. I am very impressed.

Easy install only took 20 mins, so far the top has meet my expectations, only thing i can recommend is that they should have put locks on all the panels.

I just recently installed the BAK Bakflip Tonneau Cover and was very pleased with the quality of the product. Installation was very easy, about 30 minutes total and it fit perfectly. I haven't been through a rain yet so can't attest fully to waterproofness, but the design looks like it will work very well in wet weather.
