This is a great cover and installs and removes easily for under $900.oo. Why I bought this was to replace a cheap trick-fold cover that wasn't hard to open and close. This one, I just open the tailgate and unlatch it and within seconds the cover is fully retracted open. To close I just pull the strap and it latches close. If you want Pace Edwards makes a version that latches in 12" intervals and even electric powered ones with remote control. You won't be disappointed with a retractable cover.

This tonneau cover is a nice design and very aerodynamic with a low profile on the truck. I did a long research before choosing the Switchblade style. Price was matched by Auto Anything to Amazon, a PLUS! As for functionality, it does the job and looks great. Because of the roll up material and style, there is the wind factor flexing the cover while driving at a higher speed. It is not 100% water leaks/proof if it rains or car washes. No big deal with me because I have a Bedrug underneath.

Excellent Service

Receiving free overnight shipping was great. The switchblade was a pretty decent cover. It let in more moisture than I thought. I found that on the new '16 Tundra, the bed lip is very small and flexes. So when traveling on the highway, the rails the cover slides in, moves up and down quite a bit which I figured is the reason why water gets in from the sides. I also had to re-tighten the clamps a couple times on the trip. I'm getting a deck rail system so hopefully that solves those problems.

smooth and secure

I love my Switchblade Retractable Cover, it was easy to install but only after my second install, we installed one on my son's truck a few months earlier. On your first install I suggest you YouTube the installation. The cover works flawlessly, is very secure along with my tailgate lock. It makes my truck much more attractive than without it. I love the fact that I can get almost full use out of my truck bed when the cover is retracted.

This product is well made and easily fit with canister cover modified to clear my TracRac Rails, however with the new designed latch system takes 14.5 inches of my box. Previously (and sill owned and working) Pace Edwards roll top on my 1998 Chev Silverado takes 12.0 inches. Perhaps you could suggest to P?E that they redesign the Latch System so that it can retract without taking up bed space

Sturdy, but not quite water proof

I've had several vinyl covers in the past on my other trucks. I wanted a hardcover for my new truck, but still wanted to be able to retract, so this new Switchblade fit the bill perfectly! Installation was very easy and the cover works great! It has some flex at highway speeds, but it's not too bad, and much less than the vinyl covers I've used in the past. Overall I'm very pleased, but the tailgate seal seems to lack about 1/2" in width and lets water in at the corners.
