They yadda yadda yadda'd over the take the power wire from the back of the vehicle to the front. It is doable. I had help / supervision from a friend. I could do it again now by myself. Getting through the firewall on your vehicle is something to research. My 2018 Kia Niro had a rubber gasket/plug that we drilled through and fished the wire through. You can run the wire under the trim at the base of the door jamb simply by popping out the plastic covering. Buy the tool they have at O'Reilly's!

2003 f-350 supercrew 6.0 normal standard box. used curt custom install kit for the mounting rails and the tailgate down would end up hitting the 5thwheel camper. had to then add this roller and works well and makes backing up a lil easier. vary pricy for what it is. did not come with bolts to mount the A16 hitch head and I had to run to hardware store to buy stainless steel bolts and washers. easy to use but does sit high in the truck bed with head mounted at its lowest setting.

When it comes to selecting the right hitch, a lot rests on what kind of vehicle you are looking to tow with. If you are adding a receiver hitch to a compact car in order to use a bike rack your options are going to be significantly different than someone looking to add a heavy-duty hitch to their diesel truck. This is an in-depth look at how to select the correct hitch classification based on your towing needs.
There’s a right way and a wrong way to do just about everything. If you’re thinking about mounting your own trailer hitch, here’s where to start.
From trailers and bike racks to cargo boxes and cargo steps, it takes a strong receiver hitch to make the right connection. No longer reserved for just pulling trailers, the multi-faceted trailer hitch has come along way.
