This shipped very quickly, and isn't too heavy. It took two people and a jack to get it on, but the only tricky part was getting the spacer and bolt to slide into the frame. It only took about half an hour to install and it fit perfectly. I have a 2011 Ford Escape.

Although having to drill the 1" hole to feed the bolt through was an extra expense. The wire to use to fish it through was kind of unique. All and all was pretty easy to do and I didn't have to cut out any of my bumper to fit the hitch.

This is a great hitch for the money. The overall construction is very sturdy and mounting is pretty easy. The bolt heads were pretty big so I did have to do some unexpected drilling to the frame access holes to get them to fit properly.

With a few minor hitches (no pun intended, but hey if it works) got the bolts in after drilling a couple of holes. Access on my Mariner wasn't fully set up. However, with the help of Jack (a jack and jack stand) got the thing in by myself. Probably would have taken a lot less time with someone to help...

fits well but wish it didn't sticfik out quite so far compared to the factory receiver. I had to open up the access holes. The screw heads are very large. Be sure to follow the instructions for using the fishing wire. If you don't put the kink in the plates will rotate and you will have to fish them out again. But overall it works fine as long as you are mechanically handy.

Had someone else install it for me, but the hitch looks great -- like it came with the car. I installed the hitch in order to use the PortablePet Twist Hitch Step.
