Outstanding product! I literally couldn't be any happier with it! I rated 4 stars on ease of installation only because you should probably have 2 people for novice installers like myself. Holding the hitch in position and getting the first couple of bolts in by yourself is pretty difficult. Another set of hands or rigging something to support the initial weight of the hitch would have made things a lot easier. Everything else was a piece of cake, and per my ratings 5 stars across the board!

I got the product in a few days and put it on in a little over an hour. A buddy to hold the hitch would've helped but it fit pretty tightly under the body and the fish wires did their job. Am very happy.

Saw this posted about packaging before I ordered too. Figured it was handling or whatever. Turns out CURT's packaging is useless. Completely not secure in the box so I assume the hardware kit bouncing around is what chips the powder coat as the box was not pierced. Had to touch up several chips and scratches. And since they just threw the Wire Harness Kit in the box as well the plastic pack on that was destroyed and a lot of the small parts are missing. Install easy.

Curt said 1/2 an hour to an hour installation time. I imagine I set a new record 3 to 3 1/2 hours by myself. Using a 3/8ths bit to open the access hole probably extended installation time and one wore out drill Chuck. But I'm the Winner!

I received the first hitch from Curt with scratches and chunks of the powder coat missing. I sent that back and got another one. When I received the second one from Curt, it was in the same condition. I ended up just reprinting the entire thing myself.

The hitch fit my Ford Escape perfectly. Easy installation and took me about an hour. Did it on the ground and highly recommend you use a couple of five gallon buckets to hold the hitch in position while starting the mounting bolts (if doing this by yourself).

This is a fabulous hitch for my 2012 Ford Escape. Installation was not at all easy. It is the design of the car, not the hitch. Be prepared to drill holes to feed the bolts through. The hitch itself fit perfectly within the space it is supposed to.

Well made hitch and looks good on vehicle. Shipping was fast and installation was straight forward although dropping the spare tire allowed much more room to work.
