INstallation of the Hitch

oI had a problem with the install. The rear bolts and nuts fit well but the bolts on the front would not fit between the rear bumper support and the frame. I had to weld a nut to the large rectangular washer and trim it to fit and the purchase 2 grade 8 bolts to use from the bottom. I have used Curt many times over the years and this is the first time I had a problem.

A couple of hitches

My hitch was clearly dropped and the box was patched with tape by someone. I spent a few minutes straight in gone of the mounting ears. Also, The drill size was misstated or the particular bolts I got were just a touch to large. But after those two hitches it went smoothly. The bolt "lead wires" were clever and worked perfectly.

Was worried the appearance of my 2005 Lincoln Towncar would look funny with a trailer hitch. This one tucks under very nice and it even came with a nice cap for the reciever. Fast shipping. Best value priced.

While I have yet to use the hitch to tow my motorcycle trailer, I must say that it was easy to install and looks very well built. It came with all of the necessary hardware to make the installation painless. In addition it ties the rear of the car frame hopefully helping strengthen the cars integrity.

The product arrived much sooner then I expected and the free shipping was the icing on the cake! It took about an hour to get it all installed after I got the car up on blocks. I did the whole thing in my driveway using strap clamps to hold it in place while I drilled out the holes. I am very happy with the outcome!
