Receiver Hitch on a 2005 Subaru Baja

The hutch fit perfectly and was very easy to install. Curt could have sent the right 7 inch bolts in metric. If you buy this hitch be prepared to go to Fastenal or a local bolt company and get 12 mm bolts about 7 inches long because the ones in the kit will not work. I had to wait 3 days for bolts to be shipped in that's the only reason for the 3 stars on installation.

well built, super easy to install!

I'm very handy with cars, and I have a well-stocked toolbox, but I think a kid would be able to install this thing with some basic hand tools. With my air ratchet and some box wrenches, i was done in minutes. The fact that my Subaru Baja comes from the factory with a trailer harness connector behind EACH rear wheel, meant the whole install took less than 15 minutes. (wiring harness purchased separately)

It was difficult to mount. We had trouble mounting the brackets to the bottom of the pickup but our mechanic figured it out.

Bought this for a Subaru Baja, a metric car. First of all the picture of the item is not the one for the car. This is important is because 2 of the mounting bolts go to OE welded nuts, which means the supplied bolts have to fit them. Despite a review elsewhere that complained that the supplied bolts did not fit, I was assured by customer service that they would. BUT, they didn't. After 3 weeks, numerous emails and sending me metric bolts that were too short, I still await the correct bolts.

Easy does it.

The install went as easy as advertised. I would suggest that you highlite areas (holes etc.) that are different one side from another. JIM
