Hitch fits perfect. Bolted straight up but had to drop back of exhaust to get it in - install took me 45mins with socket wrench, WD-40, box wrench and elbow grease. Installed it by myself with no lift and without jacking up car. Hitch seems plenty strong and way better than any vertical receiver style. Very clean inconspicuous appearance. I had heavy Thule bike rack and 3 mountain bikes up to Northern MN, some bumpy gravel roads and no trouble.

The hitch was priced right. I researched prices of several similar hitches before placing an order. My goal was to install a Yakima bicycle carrier using the Curt Receiver. Works perfectly. HOWEVER, know that the installation required dropping the exhaust, and redrilling one hole. Not especially difficult. Took an hour.

Overall it would have been a great hitch for my scion xB But one of the mounting brackets was bent about 15 degrees off and the mounting Holes were off so I had to bend it back with a few sledge hammer blows. Then it bolted right up. Some must have dropped it in the factory. Would have returned it but didn't have time to wait for another one to arrrive. I CAN REPORT if you are looking at the DrawTite hitch for your Scion XB DON'T get it. It lloks very "slapped" together. And there is an extra part you have to buy seperate they don't tell you about.
