On my previous car, I had another brand receiver, class III, 2". My bike rack was quite stable. On the new car, I decided to save $10, and bought this CURT, class II, 1 1/4". The bike rack also supports 1 1/4", but the whole thing swings like crazy while driving at the slowest speeds, let alone bumps.

Both fit the vehicle perfectly. The CURT T-Connector is unique in that battery voltage is present at all the trailer pins at all times when using a volt meter. Using a test light on the pins does not show any voltage when no light are on and it will not deplete your battery. This should be emphasized since I first thought the T-Connector was faulty.

The hitch was easy to install and looks good. I have a bike carrier that attaches with a trailer hitch - so wanted something that looks nice and is not that visible. This is a nice hitch for me. You will need a torque wrench and the right sockets to install this. Really pretty simple to install. I backed my van onto car ramps and was able to install this hitch by myself (put one end of the hitch on a bucket).
