I installed hitch myself without car lift. It took me about 5 hours. I watched videos and red multiple installation manuals, none of them mentioned need for deep socked wrench 3/4". Had to drive to buy it. Hitch itself fits very tight around spare tire mold. It would be nice to have 1/4-1/2" of room to play with. Hitch is heavy and its best to have help to lift it into position. Installed it for bike rack and it worked no problem. 5/8" locking pin is not included.

I couldn't be happier with the quality, price, and overall utility of this hitch. With a bit of grinding and a typical floor jack (on a block) to lift the hitch up into place, it was up in less than 1.5 hours. The only thing I am a bit confused on is the $20 visa card. I might have missed something in the fine print but I didn't see any mention of it with the shipping materials.

Follow the supplied instructions and everything should go smoothly. It's more of a two man job, but I installed mine myself. Note, that instead of grinding out the 2 holes to fish the carriage bolts and flanges through, I used a step drill.
