Curts video should be more up to date. It showed an older Subaru Forester I had to find a video on another site to find out were the plug was. And how to remove the side panel at the rear light. After that it went in great.

I watch a video on the installation which was great. It said it would take bout 10 minutes but actually took closer to 15-20 which was fine. The connection was simple and works great. I would recommend this product but would also recommend watching the install video.

Couldn't have been easier to install. Just had to remove three storage area covers, plug it in, screw in the ground and ready to use. Tested perfect first time.

this is the second one of these connectors that I have had to order. I had to replace the first because I slammed the wires in the latching mechanism of by door. This item could not be easier to install or use. When not in use, I just throw it back under the floor with the spare tire. When in use just pull it out, across where the door closes ( make sure that it is not lying where the latch mechanism is located), close the door and plug in your trailer.

Pros: Low cost, fairly easy install, clean appearance Cons: Doesn't use Subaru ground wire in harness, three wires are missing from the Curt Subaru connectors, no HD grommet for routing outside through spare tire well like Subaru OEM T-Connector.

I checked youtube and found an installation video for my Subaru Forester. Made the job really simple and straight forward. Worked right the first time and for a great price!

This product works well and fits with no issues. It has good quality connectors. This is the second one I have purchased for my 2012 and 2017 Outbacks.
